Troubleshooting
How can I tell if the photocell is working correctly?
The photocell will detect even dimly lit areas as being “Daytime.”
When the photocell senses enough light, it will activate the Day timer
settings and the unit will read “Day” on the left side of the display.
When it doesn’t detect light, the display will read “Night.”
The LCD screen is blinking and showing an error message.
All detected errors will cause the unit to go into “safe mode.” It will shut
down the connected device and display one of the following errors:
Error Rtc (time clock)
Data Low / Sclk Low (circuit)
Overload (current draw exceeds 10A)
Holding the ENTER button for 3 seconds will reset any fault except
for OVERLOAD. In this case, disconnect the unit from the electrical
supply to reset the error. It may be necessary to reduce the size of the
connected equipment (e.g.: if it exceeds a 10A draw) to prevent the
OVERLOAD error from reoccurring.
See warranty procedure information if you reset the unit and error
codes continue to appear.
