Frequently asked questions

The conversion module provides a way to convert from a 1771, 8 Channel I/O module to a 1756, 8 Channel I/O module without removing any field wires.

The conversion is accomplished by connecting the existing 1771 Swing Arm directly onto the conversion module. The I/O signals are then routed through the conversion module and the cable to the appropriate terminals on the 1756 I/O module.

There are two cable options: 1492-CONACAB005C and 1492-CONACAB005D. Both are 0.5M long, but a 1.0M cable length is also offered.

The module must be installed in a conversion mounting assembly. The conversion mounting assembly has the same height and width footprint as the 1771 chassis and is designed to use the same mounting hardware.

The module is UL Classified, CSA certified, and CE compliant for all applicable directives.
