Check unit carefully for damage which may have occurred during transport. Each RCS product is carefully inspected at the factory and packed in a special carton for safe transport.
Notify the freight carrier immediately if you observe any damage to the shipping carton or product!

Please read all safety instructions before operating the
Device.
1. Installation according to the following guidelines:
• Install the device always on a flat and even surface.
• The device should not be exposed to damp or wet surroundings. Please keep away from water.
• Please avoid using the device near heat sources, such as radiators or other devices which produce heat.
• To install the device in a 19” rack please note that the appliance should be situated, that the location or position does not interfere with an adequate ventilation.
2. Keep in mind the following when connecting the device:
• Connect the amplifier after reading the manuals.
• To prevent electric shock, do not open top cover.
• Connect only to 230 V and 24 V Emergency power (DC).

1. Installation nach folgenden Richtlinien:
• Stellen Sie das Gerät immer auf eine ebene und stabile

2. Bitte beachten Sie folgendes, wenn Sie das Gerät anschließen:
• Um Bedienfehler zu vermeiden, lesen Sie bitte zuerst die

• Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse, ohne vorher den Netzstecker zu ziehen.
• Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an 230 V Netzspannung und an die 24 V Notstromversorgung (DC).

FURTHER FEATURES
• Pilot tone inputs and malfunction message contacts for emergency power and the power amplifier predestine this amplifier for 100 V technology according to
IEC 60849.
• In case no signal is present, the amplifier automatically switches to standby and then only spends 9 W, if the signal is pending, e.g. in case of an emergency the amplifier will be ready for operation within 30 ms.
• The battery capacity for emergency power operation is notably less than with analogue amplifiers.
• Special protective circuits preventing engine idling, short circuit, over heating and an input delay are a matter of course.
• The LED indicators on the front panel give information on important signal and operation status.
• Output power and protection circuits according to IEC-
268-5.
• Cooling takes place maintenance free without ventilation, which means that there will be no pollution and no followup costs. This device is therefore especially suitable for noise sensitive environments (offices, churches, conference rooms, etc.).
• Other distinctive features: low installation depth of only
260 mm and countersunk volume controls.
• The devices have loudspeaker outputs and symmetrical inputs on screw-type connectors, whereby the wiring complexity is reduced significantly.
• The inputs can be optionally equipped with input transformers. In this case please order as option the TSE-

Amplifier racking size for DBA-Series are designed for standard 19˝ rack mounting with additional left, right bracket.
Never block the air vents in the sides makes enough space line 44 mm of the amplifier the following is figure of air-flow.
Check inside temperature of rack system so as not to be more than 40°C for the stable operating in any case, we recommend you to install cooling fan additionally on the rear panel of rack cabinet.

WEITERE MERKMALE
• Pilottoneingang und Störmeldekontakte für Notstrom und Endstufe prädestinieren diese Verstärker für ELA Anlagen gemäß VDE 0828/EN 60849.
• Wenn kein Signal vorhanden ist, begibt sich der Verstärker automatisch in den Standby Betrieb und verbraucht dabei nur 9 W, wenn dann das Signal anliegt, z.B. bei
Alarmierungen, ist der Verstärker in 30 ms betriebsbereit.
• Die Verstärker werden nach modernsten Fertigungsmethoden mit hochwertigen Komponenten hergestellt und eignen sich deshalb sehr zuverlässig für den professionellen Dauereinsatz in ELA-Alarmierungsanlagen.
• Die Akkukapazität für den Notstrombetrieb fällt deutlich geringer aus, als bei analogen Endstufen.
• Ausgangsleistung u. Schutzschaltungen nach IEC-268-5
• Die LED`s an der Gerätevorderseite informieren über wichtige Signal- und Betriebszustände.
• Die Kühlung erfolgt wartungsfrei ohne Lüfter, das heißt keine Verschmutzung, keine Folgekosten und damit speziell geeignet für geräuschsensible Anlagen (Büros, Kirchen, Konferenzräume, etc.).
• Spezielle Schutzschaltungen gegen Leerlauf, Kurzschluss, Übertemperatur und eine Einschaltverzögerung sind selbstverständlich.
• Weitere Besonderheiten: geringe Einbautiefe von nur
260mm und versenkte Lautstärkesteller.
• Die Geräte verfügen über Lautsprecherausgänge- und symmetrische Eingänge auf Schraubsteckverbinder, wodurch sich der Verdrahtungsaufwand wesentlich verringert.
• Die Eingänge können optional mit Eingangsübertragern ausgestattet werden, in diesem Fall bitte einfach pro Eingang die Option TSE-203 mitbestellen.
MONTAgE & KüHLUNg
Die Verstärker der DBA-Serie sind mit seitlichen Befestigungwinkeln für den Einbau in 19˝ Gestelle geeignet.
Blockieren sie nie die Luftöffnungen an den Seiten (min. 44 mm Raum), um einen optimalen Kühlluftfluß zu gewährleisten. Falls sie die Verstärker in ein 19"-Rack einbauen und immer mit höchster Leistung arbeiten, sollte gegebenenfalls in das Rack ebenfalls ein entsprechender Lüfter eingebaut werden.

1. DC Power supply (red LED)
This LED lights up at 24V power supply (emergency power supply).
2. Fault display (red LED)
If temperature of the heat-sink is more than 80°C, or in the case of an short-circuit, the red color of LED indicator will be flashed.
3. CLIP (red LED)
Make sure to adjust the volume control before clip-LED is turned on continuesouly.
4. AC Power supply (green LED)
This LED lights up at 230V power supply (mains supply).
5. Ready display (green LED)
The Device is free of faults and ready to use.
6. Signal (yellow LED)
Yellow LED lights while receiving a signal.
7. LEVEL VOLUME
This is the volume control, adjusting the output signal level of the amplifier. You can increase the volume by turning the controller clockwise.

3. CLIP (rote LED)
Leuchtet auf wenn die Ausgangsspannung übersteuert wird. Passen Sie in diesem Fall die Lautstärke an.
4. Stromversorgung AC (grüne LED)
Diese LED leuchtet bei anliegender Netzspannung
(230V).
5. Betriebsbereitschaftsanzeige (grüne LED)
Das Gerät ist Störungsfrei und Betriebsbereit.
6. Signal (gelbe LED)
Signal LED zeigt die Intensität des anliegenden Signales an.
7. LAUTSTÄRKEREGLER
Mit diesem Regler können Sie die Lautstärke des Ausgangssignals anheben, indem Sie den Drehknopf im
Uhrzeigersinn drehen.

For this case use only the 50V-terminals!
4. Balanced inputs
At 500 W operation (DBA-500 D) actuate Input 1 and 2 combined. The Volumecontroller (Front side) must turn synchronal to same position.
5. Switch Programm OFF
Switch the Program input off and activate the Priority input. Activate with +12V terminal for CH1 and CH2 separately.
6. Input for pilot tone signal
7. Failure indication output (malfunktion)
If notice of malfunction or defect of the amplifier.
8. Failure indication output (emergency power supply)
If emergency power supply is missing
Connect the AF inputs and outputs to the corresponding plug-type connectors. The input can be used balanced unbalanced. Please pay attention to the right of occupancy mass (shielded line) and signal.

Bei 500 W Betrieb (DBA-500 D) die Ausgänge 1 und 2 in
Serie schalten.
Verwenden Sie dafür auschließlich die 50V-Anschlüsse!
4. Symmetrische Eingänge (Input)
Bei 500 W Betrieb (DBA-500 D) Input 1 und 2 gemeinsam ansteuern. Die Lautstärkeregler (Vorderseite) müssen dann auf die selbe Stellung eingestellt werden.
5. Switch Programm OFF
Schaltet den Programmeingang ab und aktiviert den Prioritätseingang. Anzusteuern mit dem +12V Anschluss, jeweils für CH1 und CH2 getrennt.
6. Eingang für Pilottonsignal
7. Störmeldeausgang (Funktionstörung)
Bei Defekt bzw. Funktionsstörung der Endstufe.
8. Störmeldeausgang (Notstromversorgung)
Bei fehlender Notstromversorgungsspannung
Verbinden Sie die NF Eingänge und Ausgänge mit den entsprechenden Steckanschlüssen. Der Input kann symmetrisch oder assymetrisch belegt werden. Bitte achten Sie auf die richtige Belegung von Masse (geschirmte Leitung) und
Signal.
