AudioSuperVision Model AS24
is a high quality, two channel continuous monitoring device. It is
engineered to provide cost effective and constant 24/7 supervision
of distributed loudspeaker systems
that are critical such as emergency
public address, paging and or
noise masking functions in government, commercial and institutional
facilities.

The AS24 supervises the main and
standby amplifiers while analyzing
critical internal and external speaker wiring for shorts and opens. Any
failure in amplifier output or speaker
wiring is detected, triggering automatic internal and external corrective action and alarm activation.
Corrective actions include automatic hot switchover to standby amplifier(s) within a predetermined time
(adjustable to avoid false alarms)

visible and/or audible.
The AS24 delivers two independent monitor channels with unique
19kHz detection tones calibrated to
trigger immediate corrective action
whenever a 1dB change in power
is detected. The unit is capable of
switching power loads up to 700
watts nominal, per channel, within
5-30 seconds while activating audible and/or visible alarm outputs
within 5-90 seconds (adjustable).
Front panel LED's provide visual
indication of amplifier and speaker
wiring health status on a per channel basis along with independent
per-channel manual reset buttons.
The AS24 is fully compatible for
use in any 100V, 70V, 25V distributed constant voltage loudspeaker
system, in 'balanced' operation
from a line voltage of 120VAC at
60Hz nominal. The unit is powered by a separate 15VAC, 1 Amp,
UL/CSA power supply (provided).
All input and output wiring connections are accomplished via robust
300V/15A two-piece dockable connectors. Sensitivity volume adjustments are made via screwdriver
controls in the rear panel. The
AS24 is housed in a 19”w x 1.75”h
1RU chassis for mounting in EIA
racks and cabinets. It is made of
lightweight corrosion resistant aluminum with black powder coat paint
and features a ‘signal flow’ diagram
on the top for permanent technical
reference. Adjustable rack mounting
ears allow standard or offset mounting in a rack and vertical or horizontal installation on a wall.

The supervision device for critical loudspeaker systems shall be System
Devices Model AS24. The device shall
provide 24-hour x 7-day supervision of
critical distributed (25V, 70V, 100V) loudspeaker systems. The two-channel
device shall supervise main and standby amplifiers and shall analyze speaker
wiring for connection breaks, opens or
shorts. Problems detected by the device
shall initiate automatic corrective action
and activate optional audible and/or visible alarms. Corrective actions shall
