The turntable has gold plated female RCA phono sockets for connection to your amplifier. Connect the left and right channels correctly, with the right channel usually marked red and the left channel black or white. Check your amplifier's manual for relevant information. The earthing wire of the tonearm lead should be connected to the earth terminal on your amplifier if provided.

The downforce should be adjusted prior to installing the anti-skating weight. Turn the counterweight onto the rear end of the tonearm tube, and so that the downforce scale shows towards the front of the player. Lower the arm lift and position the cartridge in the space between arm rest and platter. Carefully rotate the counterweight until the armtube balances out. The anti-skating force must be adjusted according to the mass of the cartridge. Slip the loop of the anti-skating weight's thread over the groove of the stub to set the correct anti-skating force for the factory-fitted cartridge. Feed the thread through the loop of the wire support (17).

Connect the USB-output of the Debut III/Phono USB to a free USB socket on your computer and turn it on/make sure it is powered on. The 'new hardware found assistant will automatically detect the unit and announces it as a “USB audio codec”. Follow the instructions in the manual to configure the sound settings on your computer.
