General Description
The system presents exceptional selectivity and inter-modulation immunity for best operating performance of
the wireless-microphone system even in the presence of DVTB-T transmitter’s signals.
MRK 960 is designed to be:
 “easy & quick to use” thanks to automatic setup functions (i.e. frequencies, squelch), remote
configuration utilities (USB/Ethernet), display with intuitive context menu navigation.
 “extremely flexible”, in fact each of the two receivers can work in a 370 MHz bandwidth, more than one
rack can be connected together thru a simple USB cable to act a multi-channel receiver.
Moreover, the DSP interface allows the units to work with several digital audio output (i.e. AES/EBU,
Ethersound,), multi-companding compatibilities and other digital features.
 “best in class performances”, thanks to the latest Wisycom technology the unit has extreme RF
sensitivity and immunity and superb audio quality.
 “a durable & upgradable investment”, thanks to the very robust design (aluminum housing) and the
possibility of upgrade/enhance unit’s performances with simple slot in card (pc-like thru the DEXB
expansion bus).
Moreover, MRK 960 system is already set up for the exclusive PTT function, recently developed by Wisycom
and now appreciated in the broadcast world. It’s able to work directly with the new wireless microphones
provided with built-in telemetry (either body-pack or hand-held transmitters) and Push-To-Talk button:
simply pushing this button, the presenter causes the remote switching of the receiver’s output-line, from the
“main line” to the additional “intercom line”, in order to be able to talk “off-air” directly with the technical
team (optionally a stuttering tone is back generated to signal the presenter of the push to talk status).

MULTICOMPANDING (DIGCOM960 option)
Mrk960 system has a powerful core digital sound processor capable or 40bit floating point operation at 2
Gigaflops (Shark™ by Analogue Device). It is able to deliver a full digital emulation of most analogue
compander chipsets with the highest quality and with a delay of 390 usec (AES3 output) and 460 usec
(analogue output).
This option allows emulation of SA572/SA575 and rms detector.
ETS950
This option upgrades the receiver with add 2 digital
audio ETHERSOUND outputs.
Thanks to this additional board MRK950/960 can
interoperate in a ETHERSOUND audio distribution
network delivering crystal clear audio and low time
latency (0,6 msec) through a legacy 10/100 Base TX
network.

MRK9xx’s can be easily connected in cascade using the 2 usb ports (current SW version support 4 racks
cascade max for each daisy chain).
On the below example the unit on the top behave as a single 8 receiver rack (concentrating data from the
below receivers); this way all the units can be easily monitored/configured thru a single USB interface or
Ethernet connection (a single IP).
Mrk9xx is an upgradable platform with several audio distribution options both analogue (also available a
command line usable to double the audio output) and digital (AES3, Ethersound)

Wisycom wireless manager
This is a windows application that will allow an easy management of one or many receivers, connected either
with USB connection or Ethernet network.
The user can easily monitor all the receivers at a glance, changing basic and advanced parameters.
Frequency and overall setup copied, saved and mirrored among receivers.
The software allows also more advanced functionalities, for instance spectrum monitor (in the full 370 MHz
Mrk960 bandwidth), control of receiver infrared interface for transmitter reprogramming. MRK9xx has a RSSI
(RF signal level monitor) calibrated so it can work as a very sensitive spectrum analyzer. Moreover the
software allows an automatic frequency calculation along with a fetch in a location database to always load
the proper range:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MPR30ENG is a compact true diversity receiver designed for professional ENG, broadcast, and field production
applications. This receiver features a real TRUE DIVERSITY configuration along with a unique wide-band tuning
range up to 230 MHz.
All audio processing is managed by a powerful DSP to allow multicompanding, audio enhancement and a digital
control data. Very easy and versatile thanks to its:

A. True digital waveform generation
DDS is a type of frequency synthesizer used for creating arbitrary waveforms from a single, fixed-frequency
reference clock. A DDS has many advantages over its analog counterpart, the phase-locked loop (PLL),
including much better frequency agility, improved phase noise, and precise control of the output phase across
frequency switching transitions.
The Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology can generate virtually any kind of modulation while keeping an
absolute phase accuracy.
B. Double Conversion Stage
Using a double conversion and saw filter at IFs (intermediate frequencies) we can achieve a very low spurious
emission and a great bandwidth agility (330 MHz).
C. Intermodulation Cancelling
PA module (power amplifiers) is designed with an exclusive circuitry that reduce the intermodulation
generated by external carriers using a wideband phase cancelling design.
D. True digital waveform generation
A very powerful Analog Design Shark DSP processor manages the audio with very low delay (< 1 ms) and
emulates by software all companding and pre-emphasis effects.

General Description
MTH400 is a handheld transmitter especially designed for professional wireless microphone applications. It is
very easy and quick to use thanks to OLED display and 1 joggle selector and 2 buttons for straight setup of gain
and channel. MTH400 benefits also of the latest Wisycom RF technology, it has been especially designed for
robustness against noise and self-interference thanks to a special “intermodulation cancellation” circuit (available
also with the RF circulator option).

The AGN00/ABN00-32 is a groundplane,
vertical
polarization
omnidirectional
antenna.
It comes already pre-tuned in the same
frequency switching-window of the relevant
wireless-microphone system.
The antenna is provided with a plug,
suitable to assure its easy and strong
mounting directly on a tripod stand or
other support with standard 3/8” screw. If necessary, the antenna can be also hanged
(upside-down) over the shooting set. For the easy packaging of the antenna, its four
elements can be unscrewed from the base. ABN has also an internal booster to
compensate cables loss and powered with +12VDC on the cable.

BAA is wideband antenna booster especially designed to allow using long cables with
broadband wireless receiver system working in 470-870 MHz (TV chi 21/70) thanks to a
very high OIP3 of 40 dBm.
Operation
The BAA is powered by the receiver system through the coaxial cable attached to its output connector,
and accordingly the receiver system must have the antenna feeding function.
BEWARE: BAW need 100mA @ 12V to operate and it can feed a further antenna booster up to
100mA @ 12V.
BAA housing is in ruggedized aluminum, with waterproof sealing (suitable for outdoor installations):


Radiofrequency connectors are BNC-Female type:

Input connector, to antenna. it is possible to power up a remote booster (up to 100mA). When
input power is active, “INPUT DC BIAS” led is on. If there is fault on remote booster (i.e. a short circuit)
then a L appear on left digit of gain display .

Output connector, to receiver system. BAA is powered thru this connector (100mA + 100mA if
input powering), if there is a fault (low power) a L appear on right digit of gain display .

BAW gain can be setup from 0 to 16 dB (typical) using +/- buttons.

BAW is wideband antenna booster especially designed to allow long cables wirings and full broadband wireless receiver systems. It
comes in two versions:
BAW-L working in 470-670 MHz (TV chi 21/45);
BAW-H working in 630-870 MHz (TV chi 41/70).
Operation
The BAW is powered by the receiver system through the coaxial cable attached to its output connector, and accordingly the receiver
system must have the antenna feeding function.
BEWARE: BAW needs 600mA @ 12A to operate and it can feed a further antenna booster up to 250mA @ 12V (in this case the
overall current supplied must be at least 850mA).
BAW housing is in ruggedized aluminum (nickel plated), with waterproof sealing (suitable for outdoor installations):
 4 holes for wall-installation (M4 screw type) 173mm X 60mm.
Radiofrequency connector is N-Female type:
 Input connector (0), powered through antenna. Pushing button (2) it is possible to power up a remote booster (up to
250mA). When input power is active, “INPUT DC BIAS” led is on. If there is a fault on remote booster (i.e. a short circuit)
then a L appears on the left digit of gain display (3).
 Output connector (5), feeding a receiver system. BAW is powered thru this connector (600mA + 250mA if input
powering), if there is a fault and there is not enough power to properly operate then a L appears on the right digit of gain
display (3).
GAIN SETUP
BAW gain can be setup from 0 (relay bypass) to 22 dB (typical) using +/- buttons (4). With a long push (2 sec) + or – buttons,
BAW enters in edit mode: display blinks and with short push it is possible to setup the desired gain. Once finished a long push either
on + or – will exit the edit mode.
BEWARE: to avoid any overload of the receiver system even with very strong RF signals, you must carefully compensate the loss of
the cable (see the chart below) with the gain of the BAW, without exceeding a total gain of max. 3 dB.

The system is composed by a MFL‐BASE (1U rack frame) and some optional/modular boards to build the desired configuration. Example of a redundancy link (1-fault tolerance) with automatic failsafe switches
Above an example of remote diversity reception with MFL‐T‐T‐ in the remote site and MFL‐R‐R‐ in local site (i.e. OB van or main studio facility). RF signal on remote site are received by a couple of antennas (MFL can provide booster power if needed). The signal is filtered using the internal wide‐band tunable filter (25 MHz over 400‐800 switching‐bandwidth), optimized with a gain control and modulated using the LASERS. Thanks to CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology all optical signals are combined in a single fiber. In this way we can optimize the fiber but also it makes very easy to have a system totally redundant. Failsafe switches (both in MFL‐T‐T‐ and MFL‐R‐R‐) allow RF re‐routing if a fault happens (i.e. no power supply, no RF power or no optical power). Above an example of remote diversity reception using all of 4 plug‐in modules available: MFL‐TTTT in the remote site and MFL‐RRRR in local site (i.e. OB van or main studio facility). In this example a remote reception for Microphones and Intercoms: one single mode fiber carries 4 RF channels and another one provides 1‐fault tolerance on all active parts if needed! Above an example of remote diversity reception using all of 4 plug‐in modules available: - MFL‐RRTT in the remote site and MFL‐TTRR in local site (i.e. OB van or main studio facility). The remote antenna reception mode is similar to the one already described before. Again the tunable filter and variable gain allow a complete power control, in this way fiber always works at best condition without any risk of saturation! All RF and optical power can be remotely monitored through Ethernet but also can be recorded with the real ‐time clock for later check! Using MAT283 matrix combiner the remote and the local area can be integrate in a very safe way: areas which are not needed or noisy can be disabled in real time! Simply setting up the MFL mode from “ANT” (antenna) to “IFB”, it commutes on an internal RF path designed to best modulate a reference IFB signals. On local site a MTK952MS in master configuration generates an IFB signal and a reference out that feeds the optical transmitter (in mode “IFB”). On the remote site, the reference signal is received and amplified through a MTK952MS in slave configuration: This way we can create a single‐frequency IFB area! The system is able to compensate optical and RF power: - MFL monitors (through an optical power meter) and compensates automatically the loss of fiber! MTK952 monitors the transmitted level (with and internal power/SWR meter) to reach desired output power! MFL – WIDEBAND OPTICAL LINK
