Correction, Power Quality, Electrical Measurement, Protection & Control and Remote Monitoring in Turkey.
ENTES has given top priority to customer satisfaction by using recent technologies, state-of-art designs,
automation-based production, customer focused pre-sales and after-sales services. ENTES reaches its
domestic customers through 9 offices, 8 of which are located in Ankara, Bursa, Antalya, Izmir, Konya,
Gaziantep, Samsun and Kayseri, in addition to the head office in Istanbul. ENTES also exports to nearly
50 countries through distributors and agents, as a “Global Supplier”.
ENTES has 330 employees, of which 40 high qualified engineers and technicians work in R&D Department.
This team designs and develops new products and solutions at international standards.
The needs of stakeholders have been fulfilled by providing the solutions from a single source. Therefore,
ENTES ensures the continuous monitoring and recording of energy quality and consumption. Considering
the acquired data, the energy saving potential of industrial and commercial buildings can be calculated and

MPR-40 and MPR-70 series new generation network analyzers, which take up
a small space in electrical panels with their slim design, have a wide range of
operating voltage (85-265 VAC/DC).
It also eliminates the need for an additional gateway with its optional internal
Ethernet communication.
Web server function of the MPR-73SE with Ethernet output provides a portal
for reaching all menus and settings of the device by using a standard web
browser. Thanks to this, users can monitor the measured values and change
the device settings remotely without having to go to the device location.

General
RG-T and RG-B/BS series power factor controllers compensate reactive power on systems
with balanced loads by measuring current information from one phase. RG3 series controllers
compensate for reactive power on unbalanced systems by measuring the current of three
phases over three current transformers and the voltage of three phases where loads continuously
vary between phases. RG3-15CL/CLS controllers provide a decisive solution by controlling shunt
reactor and capacitors together to compensate both inductive and reactive loads.

Low voltage power capacitors compensate inductive loads.
The capacitors on automated reactive power compensation
systems sometimes switch on and off nearly 100 times a day
due to load changes which make their quality and durability
decisive features for projects. Capacitors in compensation
systems may be exposed to currents higher than the nominal
value during switching operations. ENTES ENT.C series power
capacitors are designed to withstand the heavy and unfavourable
conditions during compensation which shorten their service lives.
This durability is a direct result of high engineering and long
testing efforts.
ENTES ENT.C series capacitors employ the latest security
technology. With the help of an overpressure circuit breaker
system, the capacitor is prevented from exploding when its
service life expires or when a thermal stress should occur.
ENT.C series capacitors are ideal solutions for new or soon to
be renewed reactive power compensation systems with their
improved sturdy enclosure, compact dimensions, excellent
thermal conduction, easy parallel connection and overpressure
circuit breaker system.
Capacitors are among the most important elements for
compensation systems where they determine the reliability
against time and conditions. The capacitance value of capacitors
decrease over time and this leads to insufficient or faulty reactive
power compensation. ENT.C series capacitors proved their
reliability against time and conditions during tests with a service
life of 130.000 hours.
Distortive effects occur when switching compensation capacitors
on. These effects are the result of high transient current during
switch-on. This switch-on current of a capacitor cause the service
life of itself and other capacitors connected to circuit to decrease
seriously. The proper way to resolve these unfavourable effects
is to use the capacitors with capacitor duty contactors.
ENT.C series capacitors employ an metalized polylropylen film
which features self-healing properties.

ENT.ERS Series
General
Long power transmission lines, UPSs, computers, lamps with electronic ballasts
and energy saving lamps increase the capacitive energy ratios. Shunt reactors
are used to compensate the capacitive energy.
ENTES shunt reactors are designed in accordance with European standards
to withstand heavy operating conditions and to have a long service life. All
reactors that serve the purpose of providing inductive power are CE marked.
They are used as solutions in many areas such as locations where UPS and
electronic ballast loads are heavily used, inductive load test facilities and
telecommunications stations like TV, radio, GSM.

General
ENTES detuned filter reactors are designed to be used
in reactive power control systems in order to protect compensation
capacitors by suppressing harmonics and additionally, to decrease
harmonics throughout the facility.
Thereby:
When capacitor is switched on, currents flowing through capacitor
at harmonic frequencies are decreased and capacitor temperature
stays low.
High currents during capacitor switch-on are prevented.
Probable overload risk because of resonance is eliminated.
As a result, capacitor service life is increased because heating
and insulation breakdown possibilities are decreased. On the
other hand; since harmonics throughout the facility will be
decreased, sensitive devices such as computers, medical
instruments, PLCs will be partially protected from distortive
effects created by harmonics.

Power Factor Correction
Detuned Filter Reactors are used in series with capacitor banks
in reactive power compensation systems. By using harmonic filter
reactors, unfavourable effects on the system can be prevented.
When detuned filter capacitors are used, currents flowing through
capacitors at harmonic frequencies (250 Hz for 5th harmonic, 350
Hz for 7th harmonic) are decreased by creating additional impedance
to capacitor impedances.

For Detuned Filter reactor selection, harmonic (THD-V and
THD-I) measurements must be made under different load
conditions while the reactive power compensation system
is deactivated.
Voltage on capacitor increases by a factor of 1/(1-P) on
filtered power compensation system.

as shown on the table below.

When the capacitors are switched on, they draw currents
which are 30-180 times the nominal current for a short time.
ENT-KT capacitors are specially designed contactors with
two blocks to prevent high switch-on currents. First, auxiliary
contact block starts to work and ensures that switch-on
currents remain between acceptable borders by conducting
them through serially connected damping resistors. This
phase takes 2-10 ms. Afterwards, main contacts connect
the capacitors to circuit completely by closing their contacts
and auxiliary contacts automatically break (Strength against
overcurrents on 2,5 5kVAr models is ensured with special
reinforced contact alloy).

Entes Remote Monitoring solutions carry out the transmission of electrical parameters
which are measured on the system with communication modules, then monitoring and
analyzing these values from one location. Thousands of devices can be accessed
and controlled via Ethernet and GPRS connections by using communication modules.
With “Entbus Pro” and “Entbus Plus” software, remote measurements from different

Operation of the System
Data from the communicable measuring devices are transmitted
to the server through Ethernet Converter or GPRS Modem. An
online user can access the data from the server by connecting
from any desired point.
Monitoring Screen
Electrical parameters of the devices can be monitored instantly
and a device tree displays the hierarchical device structure.
Options Screen
Access to user information and subscription to defined alarms
are provided.
Reports Screen
It consists of records which are calculated from instantly read
device data. There are 27 different report types. Reports can
be displayed as graphs and/or tables. Graphs can be exported
as PNG and BMP formats, and tables can be saved as XLS,
CSV and XHL formats.
Device Commands

on a user defined interval. Built-in Reports feature uses these

Structural Features
Program consists of 3 modules. Server module collects the data
from devices on the field and records them to the database in a
desired time period. MS SQL is used as database.
Parameters, which are measured by the devices on the field, are
monitored by using the monitoring module. Monitoring panels,
which contain front panel views of devices, can be created and
personalized monitoring screens can be created by drawing
single line diagrams.
Monitoring structure is accessed by using a web browser in web
module. It simplifies obtaining desired analyses with its user
friendly, easily configurable and hierarchical structure.

GEM-15 modemRTU is a modem with advanced I/O features and it
can use GPRS or Ethernet infrastructure as a redundancy for each
other. GEM-15 can detect values, that you want to monitor remotely,
such as temperature, humidity, pressure, electrical parameters and
etc. with its analog or digital outputs and carry out control operations
with its analog, digital and relay outputs.
Thanks to the Modbus RTU protocol, which supports serial
communication, it can communicate with all other devices that use
this infrastructure, read information from their registers, assign alarms
on each one of them and develop a control mechanism dependant on
them.
With its own software; GEM-15 can be remotely configured, analog
and digital inputs of devices connected to it can be monitored and
reports can be obtained to create analysis. It provides the user with
instant monitoring of occurred alarms on a cell phone via SMS by
inserting a SIM card.

NEW
ENTES control transformers ensure the safe operation of measuring devices with
24 VAC supply voltage for electical control panels. Input voltages of Control transformers
are either fixed (230 or 400V) or selectable with taps (400;230+15-15). The electrical
connection is done via terminal blocks, cross sections are adequately selected for
maximum currents. Control transformers are designed to work continuously at
rated power at 50 C ambient temperature. Therefore, panel builders do not need to
consider additional safety factors by themselves on rated power which costs higher.
All ENTES control transformers are
marked complying to EN norms.

One of the common faults faced in industrial plants is overheating
and damaging of 3 phase motors due to phase failure. “Thermalmagnetic relay” which is an essential element in motor protection
is generally too slow due to both its electromechanical structure
and the use of high current setting range, to assure demurrage
without tripping. MKS-MKC Series relays have been designed to
eliminate negative effects.

5. Adjustable Voltage Unbalance
When the phase-phase voltage unbalance is less than the user
adjusted value, output relay is activated (ON).
If the unbalance value exceeds the user set limit value
(5% - 15%), output relay is switched OFF at the end of user set
delay time (0,1 ... 10s) .
If the fault disappears within the delay time, the output relay
doesn’t switch OFF and motor continues to normal operation.
In addition to these features, MKC-05P relays are switched on
if the R-phase voltage exceeds 178 V AC. Their phase sequence
and asymmetry LEDs flash simultaneously.
1. Phase Failure
When the monitored 3 phase voltages are valid, the output
relay is ON (i.e., activated) and if any of 3 phases fails, the
output device switches OFF immediately.
Protection & Control
2. Phase Sequence
When the phase sequence is correct (L1, L2, L3 in clockwise
direction) the output relay is ON (i.e., activated); however, if the
sequence is altered by any reason, the output relay switches
OFF immediately.
3. PTC Protection
If coil temperature in motors exceed Tc, the limit temperature
of PTC (please see PTC-3 below), the output relay switches off
immediately.
4. Fixed Voltage Unbalance
When the neutral-phase voltage unbalance is greater than a
fixed value (of 20% or 40%), the output relay is switched OFF
within 0,2 seconds.

FR-02 General
FR-02 is an electronic relay, which monitors the L1,L2,L3
phase sequence. FR-02 Phase Sequence Relay is developed
to check the phase sequence. If the input R, S and T phases
are in correct phase sequence, the light on the front panel
turns ON and the output relay switches ON. When the phase
sequence is wrong, the light turns OFF and output relay
switches OFF. FR-02 phase relay is used in pumping
systems, air compressors and elevators. FR-02 is suggested
to be used in such systems where reverse rotation of motors
can cause damage to people or systems.

PT-01 is an electronic relay, which monitors the motor
temperature. PT-01 Thermistor Relay is developed for PTC
protection. When the coil temperature of motor exceeds
Tc -the limit temperature of PTC- then the output relay
switches OFF immediately.
Please see the graph below for typical resistance of PTC
temperature characteristics for 3 different switching
temperatures (110 oC, 120 oC,130 oC) normally. As seen from
the figure,when T<Tc-5 oC, the PTC resistance is smaller than
100  and when T>Tc+5 oC, PTC resistance is greater than
10 k.

relay switches on.
When the current is out of these limits, the output relay
switches - OFF after an adjustable tripping time delay.

GKRC type over and under / over voltage monitoring relays are
designed to protect single phase or three phase systems from
voltage variations and phase sequence failure.
Note: These relays include the feature of switching OFF
immediately if any of the phases exceed (or reduce from)
the nominal voltage by 50%.
DGRC type under voltage monitoring relays are designed to
protect single phase or three phase systems from lasting

Operating Principle
The relay is directly connected to the network and the required under / over
voltage limit is adjustable by knobs. When the monitored voltages of all 3-phase
are within the preset limits, then the output relay switches ON. Faulty tripping
operations effected from instantaneous voltage peaks are prevented with the
adjustable delayed tripping between 0,1 and 10 seconds. If any of the monitored
phase voltages exceed the set value, delay time starts count. If any of the phase
voltages exceed 1,5xUn, the relay switches OFF without delay (within less than
500msec.). If any of the phase voltages falls below 0,5xUn, the relay switches
OFF without delay (within less than 500 ms.) If the voltage value returns within
preset limits before the end of counting time, the delay time ends and relay
continues to its normal operation.

SPECIFICATIONS
Operating Principle
The output relay switches ON when the liquid reaches the upper level
electrode U (terminal 5). The output relay switches OFF when the lower
level electrode is no longer in contact with the liquid (in order to prevent
the system to work with empty containers).
Base electrode B (terminal 8) has to be connected to the container in
order to determine the bottom level. If the container is made of a
non-conductive material, an additional electrode, connected to terminal 8,
must be used.
The sensitivity (i.e., impedance between electrodes) can be adjusted to
5-50 k for different liquids by means of the knob on the front panel. The
OUT LED on the front panel lights when the relay is ON position.

the interval t has expired (green LED U/t illuminated) the output relay R switches into
on-position (yellow LED illuminated). This status remains until the supply voltage is
interrupted. If the supply voltage is interrupted before the expiry of the interval t, the interval
already expired is erased and restarted when the supply voltage is next applied.

When the supply voltage U is applied, the output relay R switches into on-position (yellow
LED illuminated) and the set interval t begins (green LED U/t flashes). After the interval t has
expired (green LED U/t illuminated) the output relay switches into off-position (yellow LED
not illuminated). This status remains until the supply voltage is interrupted. If the supply

When the device is energized after one of T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 terminals is
short-circuited with the T0 terminal, washing terminal (Wash) gives an output
of 220 V. After the waiting time of the selected terminal, 220 V at the Wash
terminal is turned off. After a fixed waiting time(10s for Erb-30, 3s for Erb-50),
rinsing terminal (Rinse) gives an output of 220 V. Rinsing time can be
adjusted between 1 and 30 seconds by using the trimmer on the device. After
the adjusted rinsing time, 220 V at the Rinse terminal is turned off. In order to
redo the same operation, the device has to be turned off and on again.

FG series photocell relays operate by using a light sensor to monitor the
ambient sunlight. They are generally used in gardens, streets or store
windows to turn the lighting systems on when it gets dark and turn them
off when it gets bright. Photocell sensor is a CdS photo-resistor covered
with an airtight enclosure. The resistance of the photo-resistor changes
depending on the light intensity. If the illuminance value is lower than the
adjusted lux value, the relay opens its output after a specified delay time.

CKR Series
General
Microcontroller based CKR series overcurrent relays combine both inverse time
and independent time relays in one unit. These relays are used for protecting
transformers, motors, generators, and power lines in energy distribution
systems against short circuits and grounding faults.
The most important point to achieve the uppermost protection is to apply
“selective protection”. The main purpose of selective protection is locating and
disconnecting the faulty circuit from the network as soon as possible but leaving
the rest of the network active.

Protection & Control
The accurate protection by the inverse-time
overcurrent relays can be accomplished with
the following conditions :
1) Relays having the same operation characteristics
should be used in series with each other.
2) Tripping intervals of the relays used within the system
must be adjusted in the form of “current/time steps”.
Current dependent tripping-time adjustment of the relays
should be done in such a way that the “current/time steps”
should be reduced as getting away from the source.
Thus, the relay at the end of the line (R4 in the following
figure) should have the shortest tripping time.
This situation can be best observed from the schematics
and current-time characteristics below:
