Opus FSI Flight Simulator Interface Manual

The OpusFSI is a flight simulator interface for FSX & Prepar3D that provides live weather updates for your flight simulations. It constructs dynamic live weather from current live or historic METAR data, providing accurate and detailed weather as far as the eye can see throughout your flight. This interface is a major step up from traditional METAR updates that result in unrealistic globalized weather and inconsistent weather synchronization across networked systems. The OpusFSI has the capability to create low lying mist and fog patches, realistic cloud and visibility layering, overcast effects, and even auto-generate cirrus clouds.

Frequently asked questions

METAR updates can result in unrealistic globalized weather and inconsistent weather synchronization across networked systems while OpusFSI's Dynamic Live Weather provides accurate and detailed weather as far as the eye can see, with no voids or morphing.

The OpusFSI uses actual METAR data to create a detailed and accurate representation of cloud and visibility layering, including low lying mist and fog patches and overcast effects.

The auto-generated cirrus clouds are based on the current weather conditions and automatically display when it determines the weather is quite changeable, possibly due to a weather front.
