Frequently asked questions

The UNI-COM reports zone/point alarms, troubles, and supervisory alarms; system trouble conditions; UNI-COM troubles (loss of phone lines, communication failures); serviceman on premises; and optional walktest data (Unimode 200 only).

The UNI-COM requires filtered, non-resettable 21.2 to 28.2 volts DC power. For Unimode 200, power is provided through connector J10.

Press the MODE key, enter the 4-digit serviceman code (default 6321), and press ENTER. Then press MODE and enter the code 7764 (PROG on a Touch-Tone phone) within 10 seconds and press ENTER/STORE.

The open collector output on TB3, terminal 2, is activated when communication with both central stations fails or both phone lines are disconnected. It can drive a UL listed relay (e.g., MR-101/C or MR-201/C).

Two independent telephone lines are required. The UNI-COM must be the first device on the incoming telephone circuit. RJ31X jacks are needed and must be ordered separately.
