redefines the state-of-the art for access control technology. Advanced digital technology, easy installation, modular components, and an affordable price make NexSentry Controller the right solution for managing even the most demanding access control applications. NexSentry
Controller’s embedded 32-bit Intel ® microprocessor is a giant step in access control technology that gives it superfast and accurate control of up to eight doors. A four-door version is also available (see
NexSentry 4104 Controller data sheet). Other advanced features include: card capacity options for up to
50,000 cardholders; independent PIN entry for each card holder; assignable door lock relays, and; optional elevator control.
Modular and open architecture
NexSentry Controller’s modular architecture allows flexible system design options for tailoring secure and dependable access control solutions for any facility, regardless of size. Support for proximity, magnetic stripe, keypad, biometric, and smart card access control technologies at each door allows for easy integration of custom applications at each door. A NexSentry Wiegand Interface Unit (WIU) allows facilities with Wiegand physical interface systems to upgrade to WSE’s advanced digital technology while keeping intact the current wiring scheme of the security network. The optional NexSentry WIU module also makes NexSentry Controller able to operate with many third party readers.
Easy installation
Twisted-pair wiring greatly reduces the cost and difficulty of installing an access control system and allows up to a 4,000 foot distance between NexSentry Controller and its readers. While providing an advanced access control solution, NexSentry Controller is also economically priced so any organization can implement an advanced multiple technology system at a cost similar to less secure single technology systems.
