System requirements:
Windows XP SP2 or higher
Installed and active wireless adapter
Note:
Some manufacturers deliver their own software for their products; please note that using this software may differ
from the windows standard configuration.
To configure "eduroam", turn on the WLAN and click on Start – Control Panel (classic view) – Network Connections –
Wireless Network Connection.
Right click “Wireless Network Connection” and open properties.
Activate “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings” and click “add“:

Use the properties which are shown on the picture (right side).
Choose the tab “Authentication” and use the properties which
are shown on the picture (right side).
Click “Properties”.

Remove the check mark at “Validate server certificate”.
Choose “Secured password (EAP-MSCHAPv2)” at “Select
authentication method” and click “configure”.
Remove the check mark “When connecting”.
Close all open windows with the OK-button.

A message appears on your desktop (right side).
Click on it and enter your credentials.
ATTENTION->
Please type in your credentials as following:
User name (e.g. edumusmax001) + „@fh-kaernten.at“
After that a second message appears on your desktop. Now your wireless network is working.
