To configure "eduroam", turn on the WLAN and click on Start – Control Panel (classic view) – Network Connections – Wireless Network Connection. Right click “Wireless Network Connection” and open properties. Activate “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings” and click “add“: eduroam configuration: Windows XP Use the properties which are shown on the picture (right side). Choose the tab “Authentication” and use the properties which are shown on the picture (right side). Click “Properties”. eduroam configuration: Windows XP Remove the check mark at “Validate server certificate”. Choose “Secured password (EAP-MSCHAPv2)” at “Select authentication method” and click “configure”. Remove the check mark “When connecting”. Close all open windows with the OK-button. eduroam configuration: Windows XP A message appears on your desktop (right side). Click on it and enter your credentials. ATTENTION-> Please type in your credentials as following: User name (e.g. edumusmax001) + „@fh-kaernten.at“ After that a second message appears on your desktop. Now your wireless network is working.
