QSControl is a system for controlling and
monitoring professional audio equipment over
a 10base-t Ethernet network. It includes five
basic elements: a System Controller (Pentium-
based PC), operating software, an Ethernet
network, CM16 MultiSignal Processors, and
QSC amplifiers equipped with a data port.

The QSControl System Controller is an industrial-grade IBM-compatible rack-mounted computer
running Microsoft Windows NT and QSC's audio control software. A Custom Graphical User
interface (GUI) control program may be developed, using Visual Basic, for controlling QSC's and
third-party's networking products.
Control Application Software
There are two ways to run QSControl applications on the System Controller. The first is with
System Manager, an application supplied with every system. The second is to create a custom
application using the QSControl Development Tools in Microsoft Visual Basic. Using these tools,
the system can be customized to your specifications.

CM16 MultiSignal Processors
The CM16 MultiSignal Processor offers powerful amplifier management in a QSControl
networked audio system, using Ethernet technology to communicate with the host system
controller. The System Controller uses application software to operate the networked audio
system, including the CM16s and their amplifiers.
Each CM16 performs monitoring and control functions for up to eight dual-channel QSC data
port equipped amplifiers. MXa Series amplifiers require a DP-1 accessory card installed in the
Open Input Architecture slot.
