ANNEXURE 3 ASSESSABLE OUTCOME ALONGWITH ASSESSMENT CRITERIA TO BE ACHIEVED AFTER EACH SEMESTER & COMPLETION OF QUALIFICATION i) The training shall be conducted as per syllabus defined in Section 10 of Competency-based curriculum for the trade of ELECTRICIAN under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS). ii) The trainee shall demonstrate the competencies which are defined below in assessable outcome and assessment criteria. Analyze, Assemble, check and repair electronic control circuit. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA 9.1 Practice on soldering components on lug board with safety. 9.2 Identify the passive /active components by visual appearance, Code number and test for their condition. 9.3 Identify the control and functional switches in CRO and measure the D.C. & A.C. voltage, frequency and time period. 9.3 Construct and test a half & full wave rectifiers with and without filter circuits. 9.4 Use of transistor as a switch. 9.5 Construct and test a UJT as relaxation oscillator & electronic timer. 9.6 Construct and testing of Transistor, JFET and JFET as amplifiers. 9.7 Construct and test lamp dimmer using TRIAC/DIAC with safety. 9.8 Construct and test UJT, JFET, IGBT and apply for suitable operation with proper safety. 9.9 Construct and test the universal motor speed controller using SCR with safety. 9.10 Operation and maintenance of inverter. 9.11 Troubleshoot, service and maintain a voltage stabilizer. 9.12 Identify the parts, trace the connection and test the DC regulated power supply with safety. 9.13 Troubleshoot and service a DC regulated power supply. 9.14 Carryout the maintenance of UPS. 9.15 Construct and test logic gate circuits. 10. Assemble, install and test wiring system. 11. Install, test and setup DC machines. 10.1 Comply with safety & IE rules when performing the wiring. 10.2 Prepare and mount the energy meter board. 10.3 Draw and wire up the consumers main board with ICDP switch and distribution fuse box. 10.4 Draw and wire up a bank/hostel/jail in PVC conduit. 10.5 Identify the types of fuses their ratings and applications. 10.6 Identify the parts of a relay, MCB & ELCB and check its operation. 10.7 Estimate the cost of material for wiring in PVC channel for an office room having 2 lamps, 1 Fan, one 6A socket outlet and wire up. 10.8 Estimate the requirement for metal conduit wiring (3 phase) and wire up. 10.9 Estimate the materials and wire up the lighting circuit for a tunnel – Metal circuit. 10.10 Estimate the materials and wire up a lighting circuit for a corridor in metal conduit. 10.11 Test a domestic wiring installation by using Megger. 11 .1 Plan work in compliance with standard safety norms related with DC machines. 11.2 Determine the load performance of a different type of DC generator on load. 11.3 Test a DC machine for continuity and insulation resistance. 11.4 Connect, start, run and reverse a different type of DC motor. 11.5 Maintain, service and trouble shoot the DC motor starter. 11.6 Conduct the load performance test on different type of DC motor. 11.7 Control the speed of a DC motor by different method. 11.8 Control the speed of DC motor by using DC drive. 11.9 Maintenance, troubleshooting & servicing of DC machines. 11.10 Overhaul a DC machine. 3 12.1 Plan work in compliance with standard safety norms related with transformer. 12.2 Identify the types of transformers and their specifications. 12. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA 14.1 Plan work in compliance with standard safety norms related with AC motors. 14.2 Draw circuit diagram and connect forward & reverse a 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor. 14.3 Start, run and reverse an AC 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor by different type of starters. 14.4 Measure the slip of 3 phase squirrel cage induction motor by tachometer for different output. Assemble and wire switch cabinets for 3 phase AC motors. 19. Maintain, repair & test of domestic Appliances. 20. Analyze the power plant layout and power lines. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA 18.1 Draw the layout diagram of 3 phase AC motor control cabinet. 18.2 Mount the control elements & wiring accessories on the control panel. 18.3 Practice wiring the control cabinet for local and remote control of induction motor. 18.4 Draw & wire up the control panel for forward/ reverse operation of induction motor. 18.5 Practice wiring the Automatic start delta starter. 18.6 Draw & wire up control panel for sequential motor control for three motors. 18.7 Draw & wire up the control panel for a given circuit diagram and connect the motor. 18.8 Test the control panel for all the required logics. 19.1 Plan work in compliance with standard safety norms related with domestic appliances. 19.2. Service and Repair of calling bell/ buzzer/ Alarm. 19.3 Service and repair an automatic iron. 19.4 Repair and service an oven having multi-range heat control. 19.5 Replace the heating element in a kettle and test. 19.6 Service and repair an automatic toaster. 19.7 Service and repair a geyser. 19.8 Service and repair a mixer. 19.9 Service and repair of washing machine. 19.10 Install a pump set. 19.11 Service and repair a table fan. 19.12 Service, repair and install a ceiling fan. 20.1 Prepare layout plan, single line diagram of different type of power plant and project report of all equipments and machineries of the visited plant. 20.2 Draw an overhead and domestic service line. 20.3 Erect an overhead service line pole for single phase 240v distribution system. 20.4 Prepare the jumper and fix it. 20.5 Make a different type of joint in underground cables. 20.6 Test the underground cables for open & ground fault and also check insulation resistance. 20.7 Prepare layout plan and single line diagram of transmission line /Distribution substation. 20.8 Trouble shooting and servicing a circuit breaker. 20.9 Erect overhead bus bars in a workshop. 20.10 Connect feeder cable and service line to the bus bar. Means of assessment: Written test, practical examination/ skill test ,viva voce Pass/Fail For the purposes of determining the overall result, weighting of 25% is applied to each semester examination. The minimum pass percent for Practical is 60% & minimum pass percent for Theory subjects 40%. 6
