| CRAFTSMAN
To Remove Harmonic Balancer:
Before removing harmonic balancer, it may be
necessary to first remove the radiator.
1. Remove the retaining bolt from the balancer.
2. Carefully choose the proper size bolts that fit the holes
in the balancer. This kit includes:
o er black oxide-plated 3/8-24 x 2-in. fine pitch
olts
* Three zinc-plated 5/16-18 x 2-in. coarse pitch
bolts
o Three yellow-plated M8-1.25 x 80mm metric bolts
o ho black oxide-plated 3/8-16 4-in. coarse pitch
olts
3. Insert bolts through the slots in the puller, making
sure that the washer head rests on the FLAT side of
the casting.
4. Carefully thread the bolts into the balancer evenly.
5. Select the flat or pointed cap, as needed, and fit over
the end of the large center forcing screw. Turn forcing
screw slowly until balancer is removed.

To Remove Steering Wheel:

DO NOT use a hammer to remove the steering wheel.
Damage to the wheel can result.
Select the bolts included that EXACTLY match the
hole diameter and pitch with those on the steering
wheel. If the bolts do not match, do not use this
puller.
. Check for alignment marks on the wheel and shaft. If
there are no marks, make them on the wheel before
removing it to help ease re-alignment during assembly.
