The following steps will walk you through making a label using Fons & Porter’s Printed
Treasures Label Kit.
1. Load CD in your D or E drive of your computer
2. Open Microsoft word
3. Select Insert>Picture>From File. Click on arrow beside My Pictures and select
the drive that is labeled Printed Treasures. Select the design that you want to
work with and double click on it, this will bring the design into your word

4. Select Insert>Text Box (Insert from the top of Microsoft Word) making sure that
your graphic is not selected when you do this.
5. Press Backspace to delete the square that says “Create your drawing here”.
6. Position the cross at the upper left hand corner inside the design. Left click and
drag to the lower right corner to the desired size.
7. On the top menu bar you can change the size of the font (we selected 28), click
the centering diagram to center your text, click the bold icon (B), and choose the
font style you would like to use (we used Bookman Old Style).
8. Type the information inside the label frame.
9. You can change the color of your text by highlighting the entire text and use the A
icon on the top of the menu bar to the color you would like to use.
10. Double click on the black rectangle line and select “Color and Lines” tab if not
already open. Under “Fill”, scroll down the color selection to “No Fill” and under
“Line” scroll down the color selection to “No Line” and select OK.
11. Deselect your image by clicking below the image so that the cursor line is below
the design and select another design following steps 2-7.
