Microsoft Printing
The controller supports the following Microsoft printing modes:
Peer-to-Peer over TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, or SMB.
LPR/LPD on TCP/IP
IPP
Novell Printing
The controller supports the following NetWare printing modes:
NetWare 4.x or 5.x Bindery (PSERVER or RPRINTER)
NetWare 4.x, 5.x or 6.x NDS (PSERVER or NPRINTER)
NetWare NDPS (using the TOSHIBA NLM-based gateway)
Unix Printing
The supports LPR/LPD printing for the Unix Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, OpenUnix/
Sco Unix, and Linux environments, provided the TOSHIBA filters are installed.
Macintosh Printing

LPR/LPD (over TCP/IP only)
Network Protocol Requirements
TCP/IP Protocol
Required if you want to use TopAccess to manage the controller settings and configure properties.
Required for LPR/LPD printing.
IPX/SPX Protocol
Required if you want to run the controller as a Print Server in a Novell Environment.
The Frame Type is set to Auto Sense by default. To optimize the controller for your network, you may want to set the Frame Type, which you can do from the copier front panel or through TopAccess.
SMB Protocol
SMB is enabled by default. You can disable SMB from the copier front panel or through
TopAccess.
You must define an SMB enabled port to which you can map the controller.
AppleTalk
The controller does not support AppleShare on the Macintosh XL and 128K.
Token Ring Protocol
You must have a Token Ring Network Interface Card (NIC) installed in the controller.
Set the speed to either 4 Mbps or 16 Mbps from the copier front panel or through TopAccess.

UTILITY REQUIREMENTS
Printer Driver Requirements
To use the PCL6 or PSL3 printer drivers, your workstation must run one of the following operating systems:

TOSHIBA recommends that you have at least 20 MB free hard disk space. You can improve performance by ensuring that you 40 MB free.
Additionally, you must map the driver to an available and configured Toshiba digital printer to take advantage of all the driver features and functionality.
TopAccessDocMon Requirements
To use TopAccessDocMon, your workstation must run one of the following operating systems:

Additionally, you must install the TCP/IP and/or IPX/SPX network protocols.

MAINTENANCE UTILITIES
TopAccessDocMon
TopAccessDocMon provides end-users with a way to monitor all jobs and control their own current jobs. With the notification feature enabled, users are notified of copier or printing events, such as paper-out or cassette open, before they walk to the copier to retrieve their print job.
For more information on using TopAccessDocMon, see to the Operator’s Guide. You can also quickly access TopAccessDocMon online help from within the application by clicking the Help button at the bottom of the tabbed dialog box.

TopAccess (Administrator Mode)
TopAccess, an embedded Web-based device management tool, allows administrators to perform device management functions over the Internet using either Internet Explorer 5.5
SP2 or higher for Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Netscape Navigator 6.2 or higher for Windows, Macintosh, Unix and Linux operating systems.
TopAccess (End User Mode)
In end-user mode, TopAccess allows users to monitor and manage their print jobs over the
