Installing the Batteries
R em ove the battery coverfrom the rem ote controland puttw o AAA size batteries inside
the com partm ent.

N otes:Ifthe receiverdoes notw ork w hen operating the rem ote controlfrom a close range,
you need to replace the batteries.
Using the Remote Control
1.To use the rem ote control,pointittow ards the frontofthe D igitalSetTop Box.
2.The rem ote controlhas a range ofup to 7 m etres from the SetTop Box atan angle of
up to 60 degrees.
3.The rem ote controlw illnotoperate ifits path is blocked.

ˍG In generalyou are notrequired to change the existing antenna.H ow ever,ifyour
antenna is notin good condition,you should considerreplacing them to ensure
uninterrupted digitaltelevision view ing.
ˍ View ers in areas ofpooranalog reception m ay need specialists’advice aboutantenna
requirem ents fordigitalreception in theirarea.
ˍ It’s recom m ended thatview ers use quad shielded cable from the antenna to the
television.

There are severalw ays ofconnecting your STB receiver to the TV and H i-FiSystem .For

First Time Installation
N ote:Be sure to turn on the m ain pow eratthe frontpanelofyourreceiverbefore using the
receiver.
Afterallthe connections have been m ade properly,sw itch on yourTV.M ake sure the
receiveris connected to the Main Power and press Power to sw itch the receiveron.Ifyou
are using the receiverforthe firsttim e orrestored to factory default,a First Time
Installation m enu w illbe displayed to guide you through the initialsetup.
W hen scanning is com plete,allactive channels found w illbe stored autom atically.The
lastfound channelw illbe view ed.(In case you w antto stop the scanning,press the EXIT
key to exit.The channels already found w illbe stored.)
In case you skip the First Time Installation screen,you can press MENU key to bring up
the M ain M enu (please referto page 15 foroperation guidance).

Change Screen Aspect
Press Aspect key to sw itch screen aspectm ode (16:9 fullscreen,16:9 letterbox,4:3 full
screen,4:3 letterbox,panscan).
Change Video Resolution
Press the Format key to setthe video resolution m ode (1080i,720P,576P).
NOTE: this receiveris defaultsetto 1080i.
