ATHLETIC SHUTTLE BUSES: Student athletes who need to ride the shuttle bus to Senior High each day will take
the following buses:
Bus # 60 (picked up at Station #7) will drop off students at Senior High only.
Bus # 10 (picked up at Station #6) will drop off students at Flinn Stadium.
Bus # 32 will return to QJHS to pick up more students after buses 60 and 10 have left.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE TO CROSS BROADWAY BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL: Students who live north of Broadway
do not have to walk across Broadway. They can meet Bus #47 at 14th & Spring at 7:20 a.m. to come to school. After
school, students can meet Bus #47 in the second bus line-up on 14th Street. Students who cross Broadway on a daily
basis going to and from school are encouraged to participate in this safety program.

AFTER-SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL CHORUS will meet on Tuesday, March 7, from 2:45-4:00 p.m. It is very important
that all members attend to rehearse for state contest. Please bring all music to rehearsal, and have your ride pick
you up at 4:00 in the Morrison Parking Lot.

YEARBOOK: Buy your yearbook by going online @ jostensyearbooks.com or by calling 1-877-767-5217 no later than
the end of March. Cost is $35. Costs for other items are as follows: Personalization - $5, Icons - $3 each, Autograph
Section - $2.60, Photo Pockets - $2.60, Clear Protective Cover - $2.60.

COSTA RICA TRIP: If you sign up by March 30 for the Costa Rica trip in 2018, there is a $500 discount. Information
is available in the Main Office or from Mrs. Schwartz in room 416.

SPRING PICTURES will be taken on Thursday, March 9, during P.E./Health classes in the lower gym. If you are on
crutches or in a wheelchair, you will have your picture taken at 1:15 p.m. in Room 340. You do not need money on
picture day. You will later receive a proof packet, from which you will place your order with payment. Pictures
will be delivered in late April.

EVERYONE IS INVITED to attend the 25th Annual Showcase of Excellence on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Quincy
Senior High. Forty show choirs and jazz bands from Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa will light up the center stage of the
QHS theatre from 8:00 a.m. until midnight. The QJHS Jazz Bands will be performing during the day. A single
admission ticket may be purchased at the QHS theatre entrance or the gym entrance the day of the event and is
priced at $10 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets are good for all performances. Using a one-day pass, visitors
can come and go as they please throughout the day, choosing the astounding sounds of the jazz bands in the QHS
gym, or the razzle-dazzle of show choirs in the QHS theatre. The competition for the Show Choir finals will begin at
8:00 p.m. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the day’s events with the Grand Champion trophy
presented at the high-spirited finale in the QHS theatre. Food and beverages will be available in the QHS cafeteria
throughout the day. Proceeds from this event benefit the entire music program in the Quincy Public Schools K12. Hope to see many of you there!
