Using the latest ultra high-resolution sensor technology, the GEC-EVR camera takes surveillance to the next level. Setup is easy with an all-new five-button digital OSD interface. The GEC-EVR cameras work great out of the box, but the digital OSD interface offers control of such features as white balance, gain, and iris control, as well as several other common features.

Like the original CamPlus, the CamPlus 2 cameras offer dual BNC output, power LED indicator, 85 - 264 VAC power input, and a sliding side-control panel to prevent unintended alteration of camera settings. The panel also gives the camera a clean look.

GE’s UltraView KTC-XP3 is the next generation in wide dynamic range cameras. Like the first generation KTC-XP1, the UltraView XP3 uses the latest XPosure™ image analysis technology to provide worldleading performance in challenging lighting conditions combined with dramatically improved low-light performance.

XPosure technology optimizes the exposure for each pixel on the sensor, showing details in shadows and highlights. This performance allows every detail to be captured accurately even in the most difficult lighting conditions such as lobbies, loading docks, retail applications and ATMs with bright backlight.

Unlike traditional CCD cameras, which can only read the light hitting the sensor once, XPosure™ can read the sensor several dozen times per second and optimize each pixel’s exposure level. In effect, each pixel gets its own analog to- digital (ADC) converter. The result is a dynamic range 100 times better than standard CCD cameras–over 95 db in normal operations compared to 48 to 60 db on other cameras. And unlike CCD WDR solutions, XPosure performs without dropping frames or frame averaging.

Another revolutionary feature of the UltraView XP3 is dual-temperature calibration. All cameras get hot, and when they do, they perform differently than when they are first set up. The KTC-XP3 is dual-temperature calibrated at the factory, so the camera knows how to adjust gain, white balance and other settings based on its environment. The camera is then able to get the best possible images in any situation and at any temperature.

The KTC-ZP-DNP is a high-resolution EX-view, color, day/night camera with digital zoom. The KTC-ZP-DNP offers special optics and a digital electronic processing circuit. These features deliver sharp images during the day and a clear monochrome picture under low light or minimal infrared illumination.

The camera has 460 lines of resolution, high sensitivity (0.1 lux color and 0.02 black and white), and advanced digital signal processing.

Starting as a 16 input by 4 output switcher, the KTD-348-164U can be easily expanded to 32 inputs by 4 or 8 outputs. Standard features include looping video inputs, programmable alarm inputs and an

RS232 port for operation from a computer. Control is via twisted pair cable from as many as 64 keypad locations. The switcher uses standard Digiplex protocol, allowing it to be programmed for camera sequence tours, alphanumeric titling, individual or universal dwell times, etc.

Microprocessor-based circuitry allows the KTD-348-164U to receive commands from the KTD-405U (not supplied) controller keypad. A separate serial data port is provided for relay follow communication.

All ICs are socketed for easy removal and replacement. A 220 VAC/12

VDC external power supply is included for chassis power. Rack mount accessories are available for the KTD-348-164U allowing it to be installed in a standard 19" (2 U) equipment rack.

KTD-463U

The KTD-463 is a desktop alarm chassis that initiates camera call-up, site annunciation and preset camera positioning during an alarm event. It triggers these functions in response to data from the

KTD-460 alarm input modules, each of which can monitor the status of up to 16 dry alarm contacts or voltage sources.

The alarm input module constantly transmits information about the status level of each contact to the KTD-463. When the KTD-463 senses an alarm event, it prompts alarm functions in other Digiplex system components. These alarm events also activate the KTD-463's output relay, which can initiate a variety of functions like starting a

VCR or triggering an audible alarm.

The KTD-463 provides 16 input ports, allowing it to accommodate up to 16 KTD-460 Alarm Input Modules. The modules may be daisy-chained onto one port or connected to multiple ports in any combination. Since each alarm input module provides connection points for up to 16 dry alarm contacts or voltage sources, the

KTD-463 alarm chassis can monitor up to 256 alarm points. Each point may be programmed for contact sense and selectable hold delay, which keeps the alarmed site on the monitor screen for a user-defined amount of time after the alarm condition has ended.

The KTD-463 communicates with other Digiplex components via an

RS422 signal over twisted-pair cable. It is supplied with optional-use, rack-mount ears for suspension in a standard, 19 inch rack. It features a liquid crystal display as well as an RS232 port for monitoring the KTD-463's alarm activity and downloading the unit's programming setup parameters.

The KTD-400 is a keypad that controls Digiplex system components. It can address and manage 512 PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) receiver sites, operate a matrix switcher with 64 monitor outputs and address and select views from as many as 64 multiplexers. Its multispeed control feature allows users to toggle between slow, medium and fast speed control for PTZ camera assemblies.

Authorized personnel may program the keypad and other Digiplex components through confidential access codes. Programmable components include CyberDomes, PTZ receivers, matrix video switchers and alarm interfaces. All data is stored in nonvolatile memory.

The KTD-400 keypad is housed in high-impact, injection-moulded plastic. It is fitted with low profile, easy-to-read keys and a backlit, liquid crystal display (LCD). It communicates with other Digiplex components through a RS422 signal over twisted-pair wire. It also offers a DTMF output for mini-matrix video switcher control.

GE Security's new KTD-405U combines multiplexer and Digiplex® system control in one unit.

An RS422/RS485 communication port makes it possible for the

KTD-405U to operate DVMRe's, multiplexers and CyberDomes; select and switch video; initiate camera tours and select monitors.

Programmable components include multiplexers, CyberDomes,

CyberScout, matrix switchers and alarm interfaces.

The KTD-405U can be set to operate in one of three modes: discrete zone, transparent zone and standard Digiplex. In discrete and transparent zone modes, the system can be divided into 32 zones with up to 64 cameras in each zone. Multiplexers and matrix switchers can be used in these modes. In standard Digiplex mode, a matrix switcher is the system's primary switching device.

Other features include a three-axis joystick for exceptional pan/tilt precision in CyberDome applications, dedicated recorder operation keys and an RS232 programming port.

When alarm alerts occur, a built-in sounder alerts the user that attention is needed. The KTD-405U can stack up to 32 alarm requests in the order they were received. The first three alarm requests will be displayed and a reminder tone will sound every 15 seconds until all active alarms have been cleared from its queue. Authorized personnel may program the KTD-405U and other Digiplex or Calibur components through confidential access codes.

The KTD-405U features dark grey, ergonomic housing, rubberised buttons and a backlit liquid crystal display.

DVSR

The Top Line Digital Video Recorder

With the DVSR series GE Security introduces a new family of digital video recorders with advanced MPEG4-AVC compression algorithm.

Users can record high quality images in real time (25 fps per channel).

This compression technology produces small but extra high quality images. The dual streaming functionality allows the user to set up different settings for recording and streaming video. Depending on the total number of channels available, up to 4 channels can be recorded in 4CIF (704 x 576) and the other channels in CIF resolution

(352 x 288), all of them at 25 frames per second. DVSR can be easily networked and viewed remotely via TCP/IP protocol. GE Security’s remote client software that comes with the unit allows multi-client viewing of live and recorded video from multiple DVSR (Multiview).

DVSR supports up to 2.4 Tbytes, and is capable of holding several months of high quality video images. PTZ can be controlled either by the front panel or the included IR-remote control.

GE’s SymSuite products, users can remotely monitor security systems, stream video directly to a personal computer, and view video streams directly from the SymVeo network camera, SymNet encoder/decoder, LegendIP Dome, SymSafe/SymSafe Pro, SymDec4 and SymDec16 DVRs. Full, quad, 9x and 16x multiview display allows to observe 16 cameras from 16 different SymSuite devices simultaneously in Live and Playback. The Probridge 3 (PB3) is a text translation device that captures a point-of-sales (POS) transaction data and translates it to a format that can be interpreted by GE Security's digital video recorders (SymDVR

RS422 data signal distributor-provides six separate RS422 outputs

The KTD-83U is a data signal distributor designed for use in a Digiplex system. It is used when an RS422 control signal must be dispersed along separate lines of two-conductor, twisted-pair cable. One signal input can be distributed among up to six outputs. The KTD-83U can also be used to reamplify RS422 control signals that must travel excessive distances between the controller and receiver.

Cable connections are made on a removable, 14-position terminal strip. The KTD-83U is constructed of aluminum. It features a black anodized finish.

The KTS-250-16 is a video distribution amplifier that features eight groups of input/output channels. Each group can be configured as a single 1x8 video distribution amplifier or two 1x4 video distribution amplifiers. This enables users to set multiple configurations from 8 to

16 inputs by up to 64 outputs. Each output provides unity gain into a

75 ohm load, ensuring that the output signal is equal to that of the input. Unused outputs self terminate.

The KTS-250-16 is compatible with colour or monochrome, NTSC or
