It is also possible to define the same pin as an input for one
processor and an output for another, so that one processor
can “monitor” the other. The only precaution that has to be
done, is that the same pin cannot be defined as an output
for both processor

i.MX6 USB On-the-Go interface
It can be used as an external OTG interface
for i.MX6 processor or as a direct link
between i.MX6 and ATSAM3x8E MCU.
Selection is made via SW.
USB + Serial connection
A serial line between i.MX6 processor and SM3x8E MCU is
always active, and also carried out on connector J17.
A second serial interface is available through the USB-toRS232 bridge. By using jumper J18, or via SW using the
dedicated control line, the two serial interfaces can be unified
or also kept separated, in order to have a dedicated serial
interface for i.MX6 processor and one for SAM3x8E MCU.
Please check application scenarios for examples of typical
uses of the programming UART line.
