Connecting the 647-20 Long range reader (GP90A) to
the 649-10 Proxnet Interface
For best results the 647-20 reader should not be installed near to metal, PC
screens, or other proximity readers. If the reader is moved it should be powered
down and up again to force it to auto-tune.
The signal cable to the 647-20 reader must be connected as follows:

Details on how to connect the 649-10 to the ProxNet network and the door are in the
ProxNet Installation Handbook. Attention is drawn to the following deviations from
the standard:
The 649-10 interface must be installed with the MODE jumper ON to operate in
wiegand mode.
The power for the 647-20 reader is NOT taken from the 649-10 interface.
The 647-20 reader’s LEDs and beeper are NOT controlled by the 649-10
interface.
