TSI’s Model 8321 VelociCalc Rotating Vane
Anemometer measures air velocity and temperature. It is a compact, lightweight unit that allows
for one-handed operation and easy transportation
and storage. The large, 4-inch diameter vane head
rotates 270 degrees to enable easy viewing of the
large LCD screen, regardless of measuring head
orientation. The Model 8321 automatically performs maximum, minimum and average velocity
calculations.
The VelociCalc Rotating Vane Anemometer is
ideal for use on large grille faces, fume hoods or
other large openings. A sweep mode automatically
averages velocity readings taken when the device
is traversed manually across a large area. It also
works well in turbulent air flows as the vane
mechanically averages velocity fluctuations.
• 4-inch diameter rotating vane head provides reliable
(weighted average of) velocity readings
• Sweep mode makes it easy to sweep across an area of one overall
measurement
• Flow rate feature calculates volumetric flow (when the user inputs the

The LCA 6000 is an electronic anemometer providing a direct
digital reading of air velocity, automatically averaging over three
or six seconds.
They are completely self-contained battery powered units requiring no separate timer, and can be used with one hand. They
are robust and reliable, and no mechanical link between the vane
and readout; the vane itself is the only moving part. The casing is
molded from a high impact ABS material. All LCA 6000’s are supplied with our padded vinyl case.
The LCA 6000 has a single push button control in the hand grip.
When this button is pressed and held down, the instrument averages
the air velocity over three or six seconds. The air velocity is displayed digitally, and the reading is held as long as the button remains
depressed.

Air Velocity / Manometers
The AV2 Air Velocity and Volume Flow Meter represents
the latest advance in hand held vane anemometers. The
unique combination of air velocity and air volume flow readings at the push of a button provides the user with unrivaled
versatility and choice from a single anemometer.
AV2 is extremely user friendly with all functions accessed
from the logical front switchpad. The large clear LCD display
can be read at a glance and incorporates on-screen function
indicators to ensure all measurements are easily understood.
Once the operators choice of english or metric display is selected the next option available is to choose the mode of reading. Two modes are offered: continuous or averaging. In continuous reading mode, spot measurements are easily taken
with updated readings continually displayed until the read
button is pressed to hold the last indicated value.
In averaging reading mode, time saving scanning measurements are possible with readings constantly updated to
display the running average value. By pressing the read button in this mode the average reading for the duration of the
test is held.
Both continuous and averaging mode have a maximum
test period of 180 minutes, at any time during which the operator can “Hold” either the latest or average values on the
display. The versatility of such a wide time span allows the
operator flexibility to quickly scan, traverse slowly or even
leave the vane sensor in position in the airstream for short
term monitoring.
However, the really exceptional feature of AV2 is the ability to measure directly not only air velocity but also to instantly display actual Air Volume Flow. By simply entering the
area of the grille, duct or opening to be monitored, direct readings of air volume will be displayed, in either m3/sec or cfm.
An analogue output is also incorporated as standard so
that measured values may be downloaded onto a compatible
printer or data logger such as the AM2.
The instrument is equipped with an industry standard
100mm (4") diameter rotating vane sensor. A compact, interchangeable 35mm (1.4") diameter rotating vane sensor is also
available as an optional extra. AV2 is supplied complete in an
impact resistant, protective case to withstand the rigors of onsite use, which has compartments for both sensors, a spare
battery (not supplied) instruction booklet and telescopic extension handle. Designed with site testing in mind the telescopic
sections provide rigid support and extend to 1.1m in length.
The tip incorporates a lockable 'all angle' swivelling joint for
easy and accurate alignment of the vane sensor to the
airstream in even the most awkward positions.

The EDRA 6 is an electronic instrument
which provides direct readout of air velocity.
Models are available in analog form, equipped
with a high quality taut-band moving coil meter. A 4" or a 1.4" diameter rotating vane measuring head is supplied with a handle and extension rods for use where access is limited. The
instrument is powered by disposable batteries
that can also be operated from the main supply
with a battery eliminator. The electronic output
socket gives 0.1 mA forced current on each velocity range. This facility may be used for a variety of purposes such as recorder-drive remote
display via a duplicate readout, alarm triggering or to initiate alarm control functions. The
EDRA 6 is provided with a recorder output
which can be used to provide a recorder trace
over a period of time by using the optional output converter as an interface to drive a datalogger or similar device.

Air Flow Switch
The LPS air flow switches are widely used to control minimum and
maximum air flow rates. In addition to being robust, they have the
added benefit of being inexpensive as well.
The principle of operation is quite simple. Air flow exerts a force
on a paddle and through a lever, actuates a dust-tight microswitch.
The switching point may be adjusted continuously within a wide
range, making the LPS useful in a large variety of applications. The
instrument is factory set to switch at 195 FPM. To handle air velocities of more than 920 FPM, the paddle may be cut at a precalibrated
mark. This automatically changes the factory set point to 490 FPM.

The Smoke Gun has been widely used for more than sixty
years and provides smoke on demand. Simply squeeze the
rubber bulb handle for discrete puffs or a continuous
stream. Each reload vial produces 250 to 500 puffs of smoke,

Borozin Powder Gun

The Borozin Powder Gun emits dense white
clouds of very fine powder “smoke” with each
squeeze of the rubber bulb handle. A precision machined valve regulates the amount of powder emitted and closes the barrel entirely when not in use.
Recommended in applications where the slight acidity of the T-T smoke is undesirable. Very useful for locating leaks in small pressure vessels. For example,
when the “smoke” is emitted near a suspected window seal leak inside a car, with the fan turned on
to create a positive pressure, escaping air
will leave a slight tell-tale powder streak on
the outside pointing to the leak. The gun body
is finely machined solid brass, chrome plated

User calibration
Using proper pressure calibration equipment and
following a very simple procedure, you can field calibrate the AL13134 in less than five minutes. On site

move the equipment from the premises (as in many
nuclear power plants).
Automatic electronic zeroing
Nothing could be easier. This handy micromanometer is zeroed by pressing the “CHANGE” and
the “ON” buttons at the same time. It takes about
five seconds. The placement and the zeroing that
must be done at each measuring point with a liquid
manometer is completely avoided.

The AXD550 MicroManometer is a compact
portable digital instrument. Using microprocessorbased electronics, the AXD550 measures, records and
stores differential pressure, static pressure and air
velocity readings for HVAC, industrial and plant

Multi-Scale Pressure Meters
All generally used pressure scales are standard in each instrument, practically eliminating the need to purchase extra meters as measurement requirements change. Each
model has a carefully selected measurement range and can measure positive and negative (vacuum) gauge or differential pressures.
Measurements, including maximum and minimum readings, can be held and displayed in any available scale. The adjustable zero value, to compensate for ambient temperature fluctuations, is also permanently held in memory, until changed by the user.
The selectable, averaged reading function provides a further aid to accuracy by filtering out transient readings to give a more stable displayed reading. Each instrument can
display its maximum pressure and has over-range indication.

“S” Type Stainless Steel Pitot Tubes
Series 160S Pitot Tubes are designed specifically for
flow measurement of dirty, particulate laden air or gas
streams typical in environmental testing. Large 5⁄16"diameter stainless steel tubing resists plugging under
harsh, sooty conditions which quickly block conventional flow sensors. Total and static pressure tubes are
precisely aligned and welded together every six inches
for maximum accuracy, strength and long term durability. Versatile 1⁄8" female NPT connections easily
adapt to any type of pipe or tubing. A pair of 1⁄8"NPT to
