reduce the difficulty of installation.
Advantages
Due to MMBX series small size and allowing a certain amount of axial and radial misalignment
between the boards, they are widely used in radio frequency circuit connection between the
boards, and can save installation space to realize high density board room connection. The
working bandwidth scope is DC ~ 12.4 GHz, with smooth mating and unmating and quick coupling.
They can connect coaxial cable and PCB to realize conversion between coaxial system and
printed circuit board system, etc.
The 2 structures of MMBX series board to board adapters:
1. Locking structure
2. Aperture structure
Generally, one end of the adapter is for locking, and the other end is for aperture, or both for
aperture. Customers can make choice according to the different application requirements. When
the board space is limited, customers can choose the adapter with one locking end and the other
aperture end. If the board space is larger, generally choose the adapter with apertures at both
ends.

Quick coupling –convenient and time saving
MMBX series connectors use the direct push type structure when plug and receptacle are mating.
The mating takes 3 second at most to save installing time.

Installation space miniaturization---to realize high density connection
Due to the small size, MMBX series are widely used in RF electrical connection between the
boards and save the installation space a lot to realize the connection between high density boards.
The minimum board spacing is 6.4 mm.

Board to board connector allows a certain amount of axial and radial
misalignment between the boards-- ---Convenient for user installation
The Board to board connector pair is composed of couple two receptacles and one adapter. It
allows a certain amount of axial and radial misalignment during and after the process of mating. In
this way, as long as the two boards misalignment is in the range of the maximum radial axial and
radial misalignments, it can realize the smoothly installation process, and realize the high
frequency signal transmission. Take the 6.7mm board space connector as an example:

At the beginning of mating, the maximum radial misalignment of two socket centerlines
is 0.1 and the maximum angle of adapter and receptacle centerlines is 8°(如 Figure 5)

The maximum radial misalignment of the two sockets centerlines is 0.4, and the maximum angle
of adapter and receptacle centerlines is 4.5° (Figure6).

After mating is completed, axial misalignment range of the two sockets is 6.7±0.3 and radial
misalignment range is ±0.2 (figure 7). It can meet mechanical and electrical requirements.
