Frequently asked questions

If you play daily, change strings every two or three weeks. Replace them when dirty or discolored.

Adjust the tremolo studs to change string action (height). Undesirable low action causes buzzing, while abnormally high action makes the guitar difficult to play.

A 3 mm Allen wrench, wire cutters, and an electronic tuner or pitch pipe are needed.

Compare the fretted sound of the 12th fret to the open harmonic of the 12th fret. If they don't match, adjust the saddle.

Use a 4 mm or 8 mm Allen wrench to adjust the truss rod. Turn counterclockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. Peavey recommends a qualified technician for this.
