AreaRAE
WIRELESS
The AreaRAE is a one-to-five sensor gas detector. Equipped with a built-in wireless RF modem,
it allows the unit to communicate and transmit readings and other information on a real-time
basis with a remotely located base controller. It can include a PID, LEL, O2 sensor and up to two
electrochemical toxic gas sensors.

VRAE
The VRAE is a hand-held one-to-five gas monitor with built-in sampling pump and optional data logging.

Eagle
The Eagle is a powerful instrument that does more than offer standard confined space
protection. Its ergonomic design offers easy access to controls such as autocalibration,

has 2 alarm levels plus TWA and STEL alarms for toxic channels. Alarm levels are adjustable

Gem 2000 Landfill Monitor
The GEM 2000 analyzes Landfill Gas (LFG) composition and calculates flow, with the combined
capability to monitor gas migration probes and gas extraction systems. It also measures and
displays Btu content, temperature (with optional Temperature Probe) relative and atmospheric
pressures as well as CH4 LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).

RAELink3 modem allows integration of many RAE Systems monitors and select third-party devices into
a wireless detection system. Monitors linked with a RAELink3 modem can communicate sensor data to a
command center’s PC running ProRAE Remote Software up to 2 miles away.
MicroDock II
The MicroDock II automated test and calibration system is fully portable and easily expandable. It
requires no computer and provides simultaneous management of up to ten modules. Automatically
maintains accurate records for quick and easy compliance and verifies proper performance of detectors.
AutoRAE Lite
The AutoRAE Lite is a high-speed and low-operation-cost bump test and calibration station with data storage in
Excel format. The AutoRAE Lite provides direct functional bump test indication of more than 700 monitors, all

WIRELESS

AreaRAE Enclosure
WIRELESS
The AreaRAE Enclosure is a standalone system that requires no external power or communication wires
once installed. Powered by two 80 watt solar panels with two 12V solar batteries, it transmits the gas
readings from an AreaRAE monitor wirelessly and in real-time and is Class 1 Div 2 CSA certified for
installation in most hazardous locations. It has a communication range of up to 3km which can be extended
with additional RAE Link repeaters, and an optional GPS allows the user to track and display readings from
remote detectors.
A variety of optional additions to the system are available including; A ‘Pyrolyzer’ for sample heating in
conditions down to -40 °C, A ‘VAAM’ module for local visual and audible alarm notification, or a Dehydrator
to dry and cool the sample for very hot and humid applications.
RDK Kit
WIRELESS
The Rapid Deployment Kit (RDK) is designed for quick assessment and management of gaseous threats. The kit includes
four wireless, 5-gas, AreaRAE monitors with in-case charging as well as the Host Controller for monitoring from a
command center up to two miles away. The system can scale up to 32 AreaRAEs. The RDK offers first responders and
environmental managers all detection tools they need in two rugged carrying cases.
The units help response teams gain control over potentially perilous situations by assessing the environment and
determining the geographic disbursement of hazardous gases and chemicals, and also provide protection in the
monitoring of environmental remediation, oil, gas platforms, petrochemical applications, and refineries. The AreaRAE
can detect gaseous VOCs, LEL, O2, H2S, and CO and offers datalogging for event documentation. Housed in a militarygrade self-contained case, the RDK is easy to transport and easy to deploy.
The RDK is available with two additional options:
• Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) option: Includes the
ability to track and display readings from up to 32 remotely
located detectors on a GPS map.
• Gamma Radiation option: A Gamma radiation sensor
replaces one of the toxic gas sensors on the AreaRAE units.

The MeshGuard gas detection monitor is a key

The ToxiRAE Pro reliably and accurately monitors a full range of common toxic industrial
gases. Its intelligent interchangeable sensors store calibration data, so they can be

The ToxiRAE Pro PID promptly and accurately monitors over 300 VOCs. With an

FP-30 Formaldehyde Detector
These highly sensitive portable gas detectors use photoelectric photometry method with colorimetric
detection tabs. The sample drawing rate is controlled by a microprocessor. The FP-30 has a direct readout
of measurement value on an LCD display. The FP-30 can detect the new World Health Organization level

Jerome Data Logger

LP-1200 Piston Hand Pump
The RAE Systems LP-1200 Piston Hand Pump is used to pull a fixed volume of air through the RAE Systems Colorimetric
Gas Detection Tubes. This air sample then reacts with the granulated chemicals contained within the tubes. This reaction
produces a visual color change which is measured against the scale printed on the tube. Tubes are made to measure a

Gamma Exposure & Count Ratemeter with Pancake Probe
The Model 3-97 provides a great solution for locating potential contamination and then accurately
measuring the exposure rate, or for simply measuring the ambient exposure levels over a wide range.
It is equipped with an internal 2.5 x 2.5 cm (1 x 1 in.) NaI detector that is highly sensitive to gamma,
with readings in the μR range between 0-3000 μR/hr (0-3 mR/hr). The pancake detector is sensitive to
alpha, beta and gamma and is the industry standard for detecting contamination.
GammaRAE II R
The GammaRAE II R is two instruments in one. It has the rapid response of a detector and the accurate dose
measurement of a dosimeter. This instrument contains two separate sensors and is designed specifically
to meet the needs of first responders. The Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator provides a fast, two-second
response to radiological threats, while the energy-compensated PIN diode provides high dose rate range
coverage and accurate dose measurements.
Alpha II Continuous Radon Monitor
The Alpha II is truly a workhorse for the environmental professional. The stability of the solid state
detector design does not require any user adjustments or the frequent recalibration associated with
other types of radon detectors. It requires no maintenance or replacement of filters. Background
noise (due to electrical interference) is filtered out by the unique design of the instrument and
software.
