Recoating
Apply: Permacron / Permasolid 2K Clear Coat (see relevant Technical Data Sheet)
Note: If required, you may apply clear coat once again after clear coat drying and intermediate sanding with P1200.
Blending-in
Blending-in within the repair area
a) First spray the background colour Permacron Base Coat Series 293 RAL 7035 onto the repair area (surfacer spot).
b) Then blend-in Permahyd Fascination Colour Etna Stream with reduced inlet pressure (high-pressure/compliant = 1.5-2.0 bar, or
HVLP = 0.8-1.5 bar) in 2-3 coats extending the area of application of each subsequent coat through a process of overlapping. After
each coat, use spray gun to blow dry.
c) Then match the effect in the transition to the old finish by applying 1-2 light coats.
Blending-in to adjacent parts (eg. new parts)
Mask the adjacent part with a masking film (paper is not suitable). Spray the background colour RAL 7035 onto the new part. Apply
Fascination Colour Etna Stream in 1.5 coats. Remove the masking film and blend-in the transition in the wet film and reduced inlet
pressure (high-pressure/compliant = 1.5-2.0 bar, or HVLP = 0.5-1.5 bar) by spraying 2-3 coats.

b) Blend-in system for metallics and solid colours: Spray the area on which the surfacer was applied with
Permacron Base Coat Series 293 (at spray viscosity) so that it forms an opaque film. Extend the area of
application of each subsequent coat through a process of overlapping so that only a fade out area is left.
Extend this fade out area (base coat should have the same viscosity as before) and blend-in, spraying with
a reduced pressure of 1-1.5 bar. After a flash-off time of approx. 15 minutes, the substrate is ready to be
recoated.

Base Coat Reducer to reduce it further and evenly fade out the overlapping area. After a flash-off time of approx. 15 minutes, the
substrate is ready to be recoated.
c) Three-stage pearl colours:
Spray the area on which the surfacer was applied with Base Coat Series 293 (background colour) so that it forms an opaque film
and extend the area of application of each subsequent coat through a process of overlapping. Mix the ready-to-spray Permacron
Base Coat Series 293 1:1 with appropriate Permacron Base Coat Reducer to reduce it further and create a light, translucent fade
out. Spray a total of 2 coats of Permacron Pearl Base Coat Series 295 (at spray viscosity) on the same area, extending the area
of application of each coat through a process of overlapping to ensure that it matches the original finish. Mix the ready to spray
Permacron Pearl Base Coat Series 295 1:1 with Appropriate Permacron Base Coat Reducer to reduce it further and evenly fade

Blending-In
Spot blending:
1. Lightly sand the transition with 3M Trizact P3000 finishing disc (random orbital sander) or similar abrasive such as Mirka Abranet
Soft P2500. Then clean the surface.
2. Then apply UV clear coat in one operation with the prepared area.
3. Apply pure Peramcron Speed Blender 1036 within the sanded area.
4. After 5-10 minutes final flash off time, start the UV drying process with the pulsed UV lamp 15/700 from VISIT.
Special note: If the repair area is bigger than the reflector of the UV lamp start the drying process by “gelling” the prepared surface
with 5 pulses without contact to the substrate. Then, release 10 pulses with little distance to the substrate to the repair area. At the
end of the UV drying process, start standard drying with 10 pulses with slightest distance to the substrate. Owing to the different
geometrical forms and the varied intensity of the pulse resulting therefrom, further pulses may be necessary.
Polishing: The repair area can be polished directly after cooling. If necessary, the area may first be sanded
with 3M Trizact P3000 or Mirka Abranet Soft P2500 and then polished to achieve a more even texture.

HS Premium Surfacer
5310
Permasolid HS Premium Surfacer 5310 is a high
grade two-pack sanding surfacer based on acrylic
resins. It is used for passenger car refinishing.
This surfacer has a very high solids content, provides
very good coverage and is therefore highly cost
effective. When mixed with high solids hardeners
(mixing ratio 4:1) no reducer has to be added and the
mixture has a low VOC value.
For the first time, the same hardeners which are
used for Permasolid HS Automotive Top Coat Series
270 and Permasolid HS Clear Coat 8030 can also
be used for a surfacer. Owing to its high flexibility,
this product can also be mixed with Medium Solids
Hardeners (mixing ratio 3:1).
This surfacer provides very good vertical stability and
can therefore also be applied reliably in higher film

Beige is a two-pack product based on acrylic
resins for passenger car refinishing and is from our
“2K-Acryl-System”.
It makes for an economical finish, especially on new
parts. Since this surfacer can be applied wet-on-wet,
it is not necessary to mask and move the vehicle a
second time, which results in considerable time and
costs being saved.
A further cost-effective factor is that it involves no
extra drying and no extra energy (top coat dry =
surfacer dry).
The exceptionally good surface levelling and top coat

Use
As silicone remover: For cleaning surfaces prior to applying
primers, surfacers or top coats.
Application:
Apply Permanent Silicone Remover 7010
Antistatic with a spray bottle or clean cloth.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth before the
silicone remover evaporates.
Special Notes:
1. Allow cleaned surfaces to dry completely before recoating.
2. Do not allow the silicone remover to dry on the surface.
3. This product is not suitable for cleaning spray guns or tools.
4. Always use a clean cloth.
5. Heavily soiled parts must be cleaned twice.
