Active Speaker System
This unit features an Active Speaker System that provides high sound quality in a single slim unit.
This unit does not require any satellite loudspeakers or speaker cabling, which are normally associated with
conventional surround sound systems.
Multi-function Remote Control
The supplied remote control can be used to control the TV connected to this unit.
The remote control has a TV hotkey that enables you to perform various operations with the simple press of a button.
Special Sound mode
You can select from 7 different sound modes (MUSIC, NEWS, DRAMA, CINEMA, SPORTS, GAME, PASS (Original
Sound)) depending on the type of content you want to enjoy.
Compatibility with various audio Technologies
This unit employs decoders compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS (Digital Theater Systems).

his is the standard audio signal format used on DVDs and other purely digital media.
This surround technology delivers high-quality digital audio of up to 5.1 discrete channels to produce a
directional and more realistic effect.
− DTS (Digital Theater Systems)
DTS provides a discrete 5.1 CH digital audio signal for both music and movie content and uses less
compression than Dolby Digital for richer sound.
Wireless Subwoofer
Samsung’s wireless module does away with cables running between the main unit and the subwoofer.
Instead, the subwoofer connects to a compact wireless module that communicates with the main unit.
3D Depth Sound
The 3D sound feature adds depth and spaciousness to your listening experience.

Ensure that the AC power supply in your house complies with the identification sticker located on the back of your product. Install your
product horizontally, on a suitable base (furniture), with enough space around it for ventilation (3~4 inches). Make sure the ventilation slots
are not covered. Do not place the unit on amplifiers or other equipment which may become hot. This unit is designed for continuous use.
In order to disconnect the unit completely from the power supply, remove the main plug from the wall outlet, especially when left unused
for a long period of time.
During thunderstorms, disconnect the AC main plug from the
wall outlet. Voltage peaks due to lightning could damage the unit.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
This could lead to overheating and malfunction of the unit.

Operation Range of the Remote Control
The remote control can be used up to approximately 23 feet (7 meters) in a straight line. It can also be operated at a

INSTAllING THE WAll MOUNT
You can use the wall mount bracket to mount this unit on a wall.
Installation Precautions

• Do not install on a place other than a vertical wall.
• For the installation, avoid a location with high temperature or humidity, or wall that cannot sustain the
weight of the set.
• Check the strength of the wall. If the strength of the wall is insufficient for the product installation, make
sure to reinforce the wall before the installation.
• Check the material of the wall. If the wall is made of plaster board, marble, or iron board, purchase and
use the appropriate fixing screws.
• Cables connecting to external devices need to be connected to the set before installing.
• Be sure to turn off and unplug the unit before installation. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock.
1. Place the wall mount bracket on a wall surface and then
secure it with two screws (not supplied).
2. Then, fit the unit into the corresponding slots of the wall
mount bracket. For secure installation, make sure the
mounting studs slide firmly down into the bottom of the
slots.

▪ Secure the unit firmly to the wall so that it does not fall off. If the unit falls off, it may result in

▪ For the optimal performance in a wall mount installation, keep the speaker system at least
2 inches (5 cm) distant from the TV.

The Subwoofer's linking ID is preset at the factory and the main unit and sub should link (connect wirelessly)
automatically when main unit is turned on. If the link indicator does not light when main unit and subwoofer are
turned on, please set the ID by following the process below.
1. Plug the power cords of the main unit and subwoofer into an AC power supply.
2. Press the iD SeT button on the back of the subwoofer with a small, pointed object for 5 seconds.
• The STANDBY indicator is turned off and the LINK indicator (Blue LED) blinks quickly.

3. While the main unit is powered off (STANDBY mode), press
MuTe on the remote control for 5 seconds.

4. The Power Indicator on the main unit lights off and on, then
returns to STAnDby mode.
• The main unit and the subwoofer are now linked (connected).
• The Link indicator (blue LED) on the subwoofer is turned on.
• You can enjoy better sound from the wireless subwoofer by
selecting the sound mode. ( See page 17 )

▪ Before moving or installing the product, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the
power
cord.
If the main unit is powered off, the wireless subwoofer will be in the standby mode and the
STANDBY LED on the upper side will come on after 30 seconds Link indicator (Blue LED)
blinking.
If you use a device that uses the same frequency (5.2GHz or 5.8GHz) near the system, some
sound interruption may be heard due to interference.
The transmission distance of the wireless signal between the main unit and sub is about 33 ft.,
but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is
between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all, because
the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal.
If the main unit doesn't make wireless connection, follow steps 1-4 above to retry the
connection between the main unit and wireless subwoofer.

▪ The wireless receiving antenna is built into the wireless subwoofer. Keep the unit away from
water and moisture.
▪ For optimal listening performance, make sure that the area around the wireless subwoofer
location is clear of any obstructions.

If you attach a Toroidal ferrite core to the power cord of the Subwoofer,
it will help to prevent RF interference from radio signals.
1. Pull the fixing tab of the Toroidal ferrite core to open it.
2. Make three loops in the power cable of the subwoofer.

shows and press it until it clicks.

You can enjoy finer quality of music through the speaker by sending iPod/iPhone’s audio signal using a
Wireless Transmitter.
To link the main unit with wireless transmitter, you have to make ID setting when both main unit and wireless
transmitter are turned on.
Turn on the main unit and connect the iPod/iPhone to the Wireless transmitter.
Then press inpuT SeleCT button on the remote control to select "W iPod" mode.
The inpuT SeleCT mode of the main unit will switches as follows.
Repeatedly press DIGI.1 ➡ DIGI.2 ➡ ANALOG ➡ W iPod ( See page 18 )
The Sound bar will not be turned off if iPod/iPhone is not connected to the Wireless Transmitter.
For more information on HT-WDC10, refer to the HT-WDC10’s user manual.

Set an ID of the Subwoofer before setting a Transmitter ID. ( See page 12 )
1. Turn off your Home Theater (HW-D450, HW-D451).
2. Press the hold "3DSOUnD" button on the remote control for 5
seconds. The standby light on the HW-D450, HW-D451 will blink once.
3. Connect the iPod/iPhone to the Wireless transmitter.
4. Turn on the iPod/iPhone. Press the "iDSET" button on the back
of the Wireless transmitter for 5 seconds. The link light on the
wireless transmitter will blink fast.
5. Turn on your Home Theater(make sure the wireless transmitter's Link
LED in ON). To listen to music from your iPod/iPhone over the Home
Theater, select the iPod mode as the Home Theater's source.
• You can control the speaker volume of iPod/iPhone with a
volume wheel or a volume bar.
• When iPod/iPhone is stopped or in a power saving mode, a
Wireless transmitter is turned to the Sleep Mode.
When iPod/iPhone is turned to the Deep Sleep Mode, the
Wireless transmitter is off.

for over 20 minutes from DIGITAL AUDIO IN 1 or 2, the Air Track will be turned off.)
▪ When Air Track isn't linked with HT-WDC10 model in the W.iPod mode, Air Track will turn

INSTALLATION DE LA FIXATION MURALE
Vous pouvez utiliser le support de fixation mural pour fixer l’unité au mur.
Précautions d’installation
1. Placez le support de fixation sur la surface du mur puis
fixez-le à l’aide de deux vis (non fournies).
2. Introduisez l’unité dans les fentes correspondantes
du support de fixation mural. - Pour une sécurité
d’ installation optimale, veillez à ce que les goujons
descendent jusqu’en butée à l’intérieur des fentes.

▪ Ne vous appuyez sur l’unité montée et protégez celle-ci de tout risque d’impact.
▪ Fixez fermement l’unité au mur afin qu’elle ne tombe pas. La chute de l’appareil peut
provoquer des blessures ou endommager le produit.
▪ Lorsque l’unité est fixée au mur, veillez à ce qu’un enfant ne tire pas sur les câbles de
connexion au risque de faire tomber l’appareil.
▪ Pour qu'une installation avec fixation murale fonctionne de manière optimale, veillez à ce
que le système d'enceintes et le téléviseur soient séparés d'au moins 5 cm.

• Ne procédez pas à l'installation sur un autre emplacement qu’un mur vertical.
• Pour l’installation, évitez les températures extrêmes et l’humidité ou encore un mur pas assez solide pour
supporter le poids de l’appareil.
• Vérifiez la solidité du mur. Si le mur n'est pas suffisamment solide pour l'installation du produit,
assurezvous de renforcer le mur avant de procéder à l'installation.
• Vérifiez le matériau de construction du mur. Si le mur est en plaque de plâtre, en marbre ou en fer, veillez
à acheter et à utiliser les vis de fixation appropriées.
• Les câbles reliant les périphériques externes doivent être connectés à l’appareil avant l’installation.
• Assurez-vous d’éteindre et de débrancher l’unité avant l’installation afin d’éviter tout choc électrique.

L'ID de lien du caisson de graves est préréglé en usine et l’unité principale et le caisson doivent se connecter
automatiquement (connexion sans fil) à la mise sous tension. Si le témoin de lien ne s’allume pas à la mise
sous tension de l'unité principale et du caisson de graves, vous devrez régler l'ID tel qu'indiqué dans la
procédure suivante.
1. Branchez les cordons d’alimentation de l’unité principale et du caisson de graves dans une prise secteur.
2. Appuyez pendant 5 secondes sur le bouton iD SeT situé à l’arrière du caisson de graves à l’aide d’un
petit objet pointu.
• Le témoin STANDBY s’éteint et le témoin LINK (DEL Bleue) clignote rapidement.

appuyez sur la touche MuTe de la télécommande pendant 5

▪ Avant de déplacer ou d'installer l'appareil, éteignez-le et débranchez son cordon d'alimentation.
▪ Si l’unité principale est hors tension, le caisson d’extrêmes graves sans fil se met en mode de

veille et le témoin DEL de VEILLE s’affiche sur la partie supérieure de l’écran. Après 30
secondes, le témoin Link (DEL bleue) commence à clignoter.
▪ Si un appareil qui utilise la même fréquence (5,2 GHz ou 5,8 GHz) se trouve à proximité du
système, des interruptions de son peuvent se produire en raison de l’interférence.
▪ Le champ d’action de la transmission depuis l’unité centrale vers le module syntoniseur sans fil
est d’environ 10 m (33 pi) ; il peut varier en raison de votre environnement. Un mur en béton
armé ou de métal situé entre l’unité centrale et le module syntoniseur sans fil peut provoquer
une défaillance du système puisque les ondes radio ne peuvent pas pénétrer le métal.
▪ Si l’unité principale n’effectue pas de connexion sans fil, suivez les étapes 1 à 4 ci-dessus pour
réessayer la connexion entre l'unité principale et le caisson de graves sans fil.
▪ L’antenne de réception sans fil est intégrée au caisson de graves sans fil. Maintenez
l’appareil à l’abri de l’eau et de l’humidité.
▪ Pour un résultat d’écoute optimal, assurez-vous que la zone autour du caisson de graves
sans fil est bien dégagée.

Pour empêcher les interférences de radiofréquence générées par les
signaux radio, vous pouvez fixer un noyau de ferrite toroïdal au cordon
d’alimentation du caisson d’extrêmes graves.
1. Tirez sur la languette de fixation du noyau de ferrite toroïdal pour ouvrir.
3. Fixez le noyau de ferrite toroïdal au caisson d’extrêmes graves tel
qu’illustré et appuyez sur le noyau jusqu’à ce qu’il s’encliquette.

Soulevez pour libérer le verrou et ouvrez le noyau.
Refermez le verrou.
Faites deux boucles sur la bobine avec le câble d’alimentation.

L’enceinte peut vous permettre d’écouter de la musique selon une plus grande qualité sonore si le signal audio est
transmis à l’aide d’un émetteur sans fil.
Pour connecter l’unité principale à un émetteur sans fil, vous devez définir l’ID alors que l’unité principale et
l’émetteur sans fil sont tous les deux allumés.
Allumez l’unité principale et connectez le iPod/iPhone à l’émetteur sans fil.
Ensuite, appuyez sur la touche inpuT SeleCT de la télécommande pour sélectionner le mode "W iPod".
Le mode inpuT SeleCT de l’unité principale défile comme suit.
Appuyez successivement sur DIGI.1 ➡ DIGI.2 ➡ ANALOG ➡ W iPod ( voir page 18 )
La barre de son ne s’éteint pas si le iPod/iPhone n’est pas connecté à l’émetteur sans fil.
Pour de plus amples renseignements sur la station d’accueil HT-WDC10, reportez-vous au manuel d’utilisation qui lui est joint.

Définissez l’ID du caisson d’extrêmes graves avant de définir l’ID de l’émetteur. ( voir page 12 )
1. Allumez votre cinéma maison (HW-D450, HW-D451).
2. Appuyez sur la touche "3DSOUND" de la télécommande pendant 5 secondes.
Le témoin de mode d’attente du HW-D450 ou du HW-D451 clignote une fois.
3. Connectez le iPod/iPhone à l’émetteur sans fil.
4. Allumez le iPod/iPhone. Appuyez pendant 5 secondes sur le bouton
"iDSET" situé à l’arrière de l’émetteur sans fil. Le témoin lumineux de l’
émetteur sans fil clignote alors rapidement.
5. Allumez votre cinéma maison (assurez-vous que le témoin DEL de l’
émetteur sans fil est allumé). Pour écouter de la musique depuis votre
iPod/iPhone sur le cinéma maison, sélectionnez le mode iPod comme
source du cinéma maison.
• Vous pouvez régler le volume du haut-parleur de votre iPod/iPhone
avec la roulette ou la barre de réglage du volume.
• Si vous éteignez le iPod/iPhone ou si vous le mettez en mode
d’économie d’énergie, l'émetteur sans fil se met en mode Veille.
Lorsque le iPod/iPhone est rallumé alors qu’il était en mode Veille
prolongée, l’émetteur sans fil est éteint.

Cette section présente les deux méthodes (numérique et analogique) de connexion de l’unité au téléviseur.

▪ Si le téléviseur ou un autre appareil connecté au système Air Track au moyen du câble
optique est éteint, il n’y a pas d’entrée numérique et le Air Track se désactive après 20
minutes. (Si DIGITAL AUDIO IN 1 ou 2 n’a pas émis de signal d’entrée pendant plus de 20
minutes, le Air Track s’éteint.)
▪ Si le système Air Track n’est pas relié au modèle HT-WDC10 en mode W.iPod, il se désactive
après 20 minutes.

MISE À JOUR DU LOGICIEL
ONLY FOR UPDATE
▪ Insérez un lecteur USB contenant la mise à niveau du firmware dans le port USB situé à l’arrière de l’unité
principale.
▪ Veillez à ne pas débrancher le cordon d'alimentation ni à retirer le lecteur USB lorsque les mises à niveau
sont en cours d'exécution. L’unité principale s’éteint automatiquement une fois que la mise à niveau du
firmware est terminée.
Une fois le logiciel mis à niveau, les paramètres sont réinitialisés sur leur réglage par défaut. Nous vous
conseillons de consigner vos réglages par écrit afin de pouvoir facilement les spécifier à nouveau après la
mise à niveau.
▪ Si vous ne parvenez pas à mettre à niveau le micrologiciel, nous vous recommandons de reformater les
données USB dans le format FAT16.
▪ Pour les besoins de la mise à niveau, ne convertissez pas les données USB au format NTFS car ce
système de fichiers n'est pas pris en charge.
▪ Tout dépendant du fabricant, le USB pourrait ne pas être compatible.
