TurboTube – „one size fits all“
A completely redesigned and patented sensor tube based
DDC
on a sampling profile with two closed, interior ducts and
two scoop-shaped, open exterior ducts facilitate extremely
uniform measurement gas sampling across the entire tube
length even at very low flow speeds.
The standard length of 0.16 m supports monitoring of all
duct cross-sections from 0 100 mm. The TurboTube sensor

tube can be quickly installed independently of the KRM
housing. This allows shorter installation times and more
cost-effective operations for the tradesman. The TurboTube
makes the installation orientation and housing alignment
of the KRM extremely flexible.

Contamination
The bus-compatible KRM has an RS485 interface as a

particularly innovative feature. This allows all functions and

signals to be directly transmitted to an automation station or
a gateway. The unique BACnet or Modbus interface and the
straightforward installation on building automation networks makes the KRM particularly suited for large buildings
and premises. Oppermann supplies appropriate accessories
for direct analysis of KRM signals. The newly developed

AZE 1.2 can monitor up to 99 KRMs and transmit signals to
the central building management systems via the RS485
interface.

Monitoring of BSK / RSK and test initiation
The module can detect the two limit positions of the
BSK / RSK (2 changeover contact inputs) and send these
to the DDC via the BUS protocol (BACnet or Modbus).
For service purposes, the module can be connected to
terminal 9 + 10 of the KRM. It can then trigger a test that
is sent by the fieldbus from the DDC to the module.
Monitoring device AZE1.2
All functions directly in view in a single location
The AZE 1.2 allows up to 99 KRM-2-MOD / KRM-2-DZMOD data points to be conveniently read at a glance from
a central location. This is ideal for the system operator,
particularly when no DDC-based visualization is available.
As a result, all data can be cost-effectively and efficiently
read from all connected detectors in a single location
to perform targeted maintenance or other operations. If
contamination, a malfunction, or an alarm is detected, this
is also centrally displayed on the AZE 1.2. Even the flow
and temperature on all connected duct smoke detectors
can be displayed.
The AZE 1.2 can route collective messages for alarm,
contamination, malfunction, and service to the DDC via
potential-free changeover contacts. The RS485 Modbus
RTU interface is a particularly innovative feature. It is used
to centrally report all KRM data to the DDC, where the data
can also be visualized.

The power supply units (24 V DC or 24 V AC) are reliable
sources of power for KRM duct smoke detectors with DIBt
certification (types KRM-2-DZ, KRM-2-DZ-MOD and KRM2-DZ-BAC) with 24 V AC or DC when the KRM also powers
the FSD / SSD.

Safety network
This sketch shows you the interaction of detectors and
actuators in order to efficiently avoid the spreading of fire
and smoke by means of a RLT system which is installed in
the building.
In case a smoke detector which has been installed in
the fire section sets off an alarm, the designated smoke
extracting flap of the automation station triggered by the
STG 1.2 control unit will open and the smoke extracting
ventilator will be turned on. Other smoke extraction flaps
are closed in order to concentrate the extract air volume
on one smoke zone.
