1.1 Product Description: Intensive Care Electric Bed
1.2 Product Features:
(1) Bed platform Trendelenburg and reverse trendelenburg tilt control and electric
hi-low adjustment of the Backrest, Knee gatch and bed.
(2) Uninterrupted storage operation function.

2. Symbol Description
2.1 Warning:

4. Drive and control unit
4.1 Actuator controller: Controls the drive of the actuator, has the battery charging
function and can operate upon power cutoff after the battery is
installed.
4.2 Drive actuator:
• For Backrest hi-low adjustment: DC drive motor.
• For sleeping surface hi-low adjustment: DC drive motor.
• For Knee gatch hi-low adjustment: DC drive motor.
• For sleeping surface trendelenburg control: DC drive motor.
4.3 Hi-low controller: Installed inside the siderails on both sides with a thin-film button
for independent sleeping surface tilt control and Backrest, Knee
gatch and sleeping surface hi-low adjustments.
4.4 Hi-low lock: Installed at the foot-end of the bed for independent sleeping surface tilt
control and Backrest, Knee gatch and sleeping surface hi-low
adjustments. Or lock the drive actuators separately so that they cannot
be activated.
4.5 Battery: Provides DC24V voltage for actuator controllers.
Caution! For the first-time use, plug the wire of the
battery into the control box in the manner given in
the figure below:
Remove the plug
retainer first.
Then insert the plug of the battery cable into
the socket of the control box.
Once installation is complete, operate the sleeping surface, Backrest and Knee gatch
to the lowest position. This action is to reset the display device and the product can
be operated and used normally once the action is complete.
4.6 Single Brake: Installed at the 4 corners the base bed frame, used to lock the bed so
that the bed cannot move.
5. Material and accessories
5.1 Bed frame: STKR steel pipe and SPHC (steel plate heat commercial) steel, coated
with an electrostatic powder finish (dual-color combination).
5.2 ABS bed platform: Four-piece, ABS material, injection molding, with mattress
anti-slippery at the four corners and 8 restraint strap holders.
5.3 Head & Foot Board: Made of ABS. Injection molding.
5.4 Siderail: Two-section, collapsible below the bed platform, made of ABS, injection
molding, safe operating handles with indication of operation.
5.5 Caster: Four-wheeled independent brake
5.6 Drainage bag hook: Made of round stainless steel bar, 3 on the left and right
respectively, 6 in total.
5.7 I.V pole: Two-section, dual hooks, made of stainless steel (SUS304) with spring
buffers.
5.8 I.V pole socket: Made of stainless steel pipe (SUS304), 3 on the left and right
respectively, 6 in total.
5.9 Storage pipe of I.V pole: Made of stainless steel pipe (SUS304), stored on either side.

7. Operating instructions
7.1 Siderail
(1) Up:
Hold the siderail handle (32), pull it outward to the extreme, rotate
leftward or rightward up by 180 degrees in accordance with the
instructions on the handle (left or right rotation) until a click is heard,
which means that the siderail is locked into place.
(2) Down: Pull the siderail brake lever (31) outward, hold the siderail handle (32)
and pull it outward to the extreme, rotate leftward or rightward down by
180 degrees in accordance with the instructions on the handle (left or
right rotation) and push the siderail inward into place.
Caution! When pushing the siderail, do not insert
the fingers into the siderail. Improper operation
may cause injury to the hand!

7.2 Head & Foot Board
1.Remove: Pull the holder of the head & foot board clippers (17) outward, hold both
sides of handles of the head & foot boards with both hands and pull them
up.
2.Install: Align and insert the head & foot board clipper into the notch and then
press the holder.

7.3 Bed Single Brake Caster
1. Brake: Press all top casters pedal downward until it was locked.
The 4 casters are located at every corners of the bed.

2. Release the brake: Press the small pedals on top of caster to release the brake.
All casters must release the brake before moving the bed.

7.4 Hi-low controller
1. Installed inside the siderails on the left and right. The controller on the left or
right can be selected according to individual’s health status and habit.
2. The functions of the buttons of the controller are shown in the figure.
3. Press and hold the button to go up or down. The hi-low adjustment will be
stopped once the button is released.
Caution! To avoid discomfort of the patient, when the angle between
the Backrest platform and leg platform reaches 90°, the Backrest up or
Knee gatch up button will be disabled. Operation will continue only
when the angle is greater than 90°.

Do not continue hi-low adjustments properly lest the motor should be damaged.

Caution! To protect the electric actuator, hi-low adjustments of the bed
must be operated intermittently. Rest for 18 minutes after every
continuous operation for 2 minutes.
7.5 Hi-low lock-1
1. Installed at the bed trail. Has the lock and hi-low function for caregivers.
2. The knob alone can lock the actuators so that they cannot go up/down.

indicates unlocking and the
actuators controlled by the knob can go up/down; the knob facing down
indicates locking and the actuators controlled by the knob cannot go up/down;
4. Hi-low adjustments of the Backrest, Knee gatch and Bed platform: Press and
hold
, the Backrest (or Knee gatch, Bed platform) will raise; press and hold
, the Backrest (or Knee gatch, Bed platform) will lower.
5. Adjustment of sitting posture: Press this button to allow the Knee gatch to be
raised when the Backrest rises to prevent the patient from slippery. Its functions
and the way it activates are provided as follows:

gatch go up simultaneously, the Knee
gatch will stop raising and the

Power indicator
Note:
When the power indicator lights in green, it means that AC power is used.
When the power indicator lights off, it means that there is no AC power. In case
of the red light when the button is pressed, it means that the battery is used.
• If the power indicator light flashes red when the battery is used, it means that the
voltage of the battery is too low. Please recharge immediately.
•

Caution! Recharge immediately if the voltage is too lower. In case that
the bed cannot be operated due to low voltage, remove the batter plug
and then insert it again and plug the AC power cord to resume.
Remove the plug retainer first.
Remove the plug of the battery cable and
then insert it into the control box.
Once installation is complete, move the sleeping surface, the Backrest and Knee gatch bed
frame to the lowest position. This action is to reset the display device and the product can
be operated and used normally once the action is complete.

10. Daily cleaning
10.1 Cleaning with steam are prohibited:
Warning! Cleaning of any part of this bed with steam is strictly
prohibited. Steam may damage the plastic and electrical elements.
10.2 Cleaning of the plastic material:
1. Dust on the surface may be removed with a wet mop.
2. Difficult-to-remove dirt may be wiped using soapy water, neutral cleaner
(PH6-8) and warm water and then removed using wet mop.
3. The head & foot boards and bed platforms may be removed and cleaned in water
under 60°C, wiped or air dried after washing.
Warning! Drying with hot air is prohibited and a temperature above
60°C may result in plastic deformation.

Wipe and sterilize using 75% alcohol.
Cleaning using gasoline, organic solvent (mineral spirits) or chemical substances
is prohibited.
No baking permitted; avoid long-term exposure to sunlight.
Caution! Long-term exposure to sunlight may lead to plastic cracking
and discoloration.
10.3 Cleaning of the painting of the steel pipe:
1. Dust on the surface may be removed with a wet mop.
2. Difficult-to-remove dirt may be wiped using soapy water, neutral cleaner
(PH6-8) and warm water and then removed using wet mop.
3. Wipe and sterilize using 75% alcohol.
4. Cleaning using bleaching agent, organic solvents (mineral spirits, toluene or
acetone, etc) or chemical substances is prohibited.
5. Do not wipe the product using scouring pad or sand cloth.
Caution! The painting of all steel pipe surfaces is insulated coating. Be
sure not to wipe using rough objects to prevent the painted surface
from damages.
10.4 Cleaning of the actuator and controller:
1. Prior to cleaning, remove the power cord plug of the bed from the power socket.
2. Same as the plastic material.
3. Except for protection level IP66 components, avoid washing by spraying water.
Warning! Power cord plugged. It may lead to personnel injury or
equipment damage.
11. Regular maintenance
11.1 To be done every 6 months.
1. Inspect if the fastening bolt of the siderail guide rail kit becomes loose? Or
comes off?
2. Inspect the siderail stop bolt for any wear? Or crack?
3. Inspect if the fastening bolt of the rotation shaft of the siderail rocker arm
becomes loose?
4. Inspect if the nut of the hi-low pin-jointed bolt of the bed becomes loose? Or
comes off?
5. Inspect if the fastening bolt of the caster becomes loose?
6. Inspect if the power cord is broken?
7. Inspect the enclosure and piston bar of the electric actuator for deformation or
cracks? Inspect if it functions normally?
8. Recharging/discharging test of the battery
11.2 To be done every 12 months:
Inspect the battery for leakage? Or deformation ?
11.3 Battery replacement:
• Battery Specification
(a) The battery pack consists of two 12 V, 1.2 AH maintenance-free lead-acid
batteries.
(b) Dimension: 97mm (L) x 42mm (W) x 51mm (H), weighing approximately
550g.
(c) Insertion terminals (4.75mm (W) x 6.35mm (L) x 0.8mm (H)).
• Battery replacement
(a) Prior to battery replacement, remove the power core plug of the bed from
the power socket.
Warning! Power cord plugged. It may lead to personnel injury or
equipment damage.
(b) The two batteries must be replaced simultaneously with batteries of the
same brand and type.
(c) Serial connection of the batteries shall be wired in accordance with the
original wiring method and position.
Caution! Insert the red electric wire into the red terminal (+) and the
black electric wire into the black terminal (-).
(d) Please charge for 4~5 hours after battery replacement.
11.4 Battery charging and discharging
• The maximum charging current of the battery is 0.3A and its maximum charging
voltage is 27.6V.
• The battery can reach about 80% of the capacity after being charged for 4~5 hours.
Please charge at least for 10 hours for full battery power.
• To extend the service life of the battery, charge on a regular basis as far as
possible.
• Within 30% of the discharge depth, there will be more battery charging and
discharging times.
12. Precautions
1. Insert the power cord plug of the bed directly into the wall power socket.
2. Do not insert the power cord plug of the bed into an extension socket or an
extension multi-plug adapter.
3. Observe frequently if the power cord is broken.
4. Do not cover the power cord with a small woolen blanket or carpet.
5. Observe if there is cotton wadding on the bed structure, drive mechanism or
mattress, below the bed or on the floor beside the bed.
6. Test whether the bed hi-low movement is smooth and the hi-low travel can be
finished without being stuck by the power cord or other cables.
7. Observe if the protective cover of the electrical element is broken or damaged,
making sure there is no liquid or conductor draining inside or entering the
structure.
8. Inspect whether the electrical elements of the bed are overheating or broken.
Confirm that the power cord is firmly inserted into the wall power socket and
objects such as the mattress are not in contract with the power cord socket.
9. The battery shall be checked periodically and replaced where necessary.
10. Should you have any doubt over the integrity of the protective grounding wire in
the place where the product is used, use the internal battery for operation.
11. In case of any abnormal sound, smell of burning or abnormal displacement, notify
the service personnel for repair immediately.
12. Keep the power cord properly while the bed is moving to prevent electric shock
due to collision or trampling.
13. If the bed is not connected to the power, the weight indicator and angle indicator
are not available for use.
14. Be sure to comply with the safe operating instructions of the bed.
15. For further technical data, please contact the service center.
13. Waste Disposal
Waste components after regular repair or inspection shall be disposed of in the following
manners:
1. Metal material: Recycled and reused in accordance with the regulations for disposal of
waste hardware.
2. Plastic material: Recycled by classification and reused in accordance with the Arabic
number in the plastic triangle recycling mark and the material description below.
3. Waste battery: Send waste batteries to the recycling specialists in accordance with the
regulations for recycling and removal of waste products and containers rather than free
disposal of these items. Proper storage is recommended prior to recycling to avoid
pollution due to spillage of waste liquids.
Warning! Avoid skin or eye contact as the battery contains sulfate
electrolytic liquid. In case of accidental contact, flush with fresh water
and go to hospital immediately. If there’s no timely treatment, serious
injuries such as loss of eyesight may result.

Other materials: Send to the recycling specialists for disposal by material type.
14. Warranty period
This product is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase
against defects in materials and workmanship. Should this product fail to operate due to
defects within the warranty period, notify us and our authorized service agent will provide
repair warranty. For the warranty scope, the parts and manual repair expenses will be borne
by the Company under normal operating conditions. Any transport or shipping expenses
shall be borne by the purchaser solely.
This warranty does not cover the following damages: Failure to use the product in
accordance with the operating instructions, natural accidental damage, unauthorized
disassembly or service performed by any non-authorized agent.
