Thank you for purchasing our Speed Dome Camera Controller.
Please read this operation manual before using this device and use
the device properly. Also, please keep this manual with care to
ensure easy access at any time.
1. General Introduction
This controller is a product matching with our speed dome Camera and
terminal receiver. Controller and receiver are connected via
EIA/RS-485 connector. A controller allows to operate 1 up to 32 Speed
Dome or receivers. The communication distance between controller
and receiver is up to 1.2km. It’s very easy for operating and setting the
Speed Dome Camera.
The controller is also able to control the terminal receiver to achieve
the function of controlling pan/tilt, lens and etc.
2. Main Function
The controller contains the following main functions:
a)
To set up ID address from 0 to 99 for Speed Dome Cameras or
receiver.
b)
To directly control full functions of Speed dome Camera. For
example: turn ON/OFF camera power.
c)
To operate the pan/tilt of Speed Dome Camera moving in
different speed lever.
d)
To set up 80 preset positions and 4 cruising tracks for Speed
Dome Camera and call any of them. Each cruising track
contains up to 16 preset positions. You can set up the staying
period and moving speed for each preset position.
e)
To control Speed Dome Camera by manual/auto operation. It’s
possible to change the initial set through setting the camera
menu for the appointed camera.
f)
To control camera zoom, Iris and Focus manually.
g)
To control up to 32 Speed Dome Cameras.
3. Front Panel & Rear Panel
3.1 Front Panel (diagram 1)
There are joystick, keys and LCD screen on the front panel. The LCD
screen displays system status and set up dialogue. Joystick is used
for manually rotating the pan/tilt in four directions.

The controller is connected to adapter box by specific cable.
4. Keyboard Operation
4.1 operation under B01 protocol
The following operations are available for the current Speed Dome
Camera. The Speed Dome Camera numbers must be preset
corresponding before operating them. Before operating the keyboard,
the LCD screen displays:
current Cam ID: N
N: the current Speed Dome Camera number.
4.1 .1To select the number “N” camera: [CAM] N [ENTER]
The LCD displays:
Input Cam ID: N
N: camera number 0-99.
4.1.2 To set preset position: [PRESET] N [ENTER]
The LCD displays:
Preset No: N
N: the number of preset position: 1-99.
4.1.3 To call preset position: [CALL] N [ENTER]
The LCD displays:
Call Number: N
N: the number of presser position: 1-99.
4.1.4 To set up cruise tracks: [SHOT] N [ON]
The LCD displays:
Input Tour No: N
N: the number of track: 1-6
The LCD displays:
Track= N1, Sum=N2
(N1: track number, N2: sum of preset positions)
Press [TELE], the LCD will display: No.1 Point____.
Notify to enter the number of the preset positions for the first point in this
track. (The number of preset position: 1-64)
Press [TELE] again, the LCD displays: No.1 Speed____.
Notify to enter the speed of the first point in this track. (Speed lever: 1-8)
And then press [TELE], the LCD displays: No.1 Time____.
Notify to enter the staying time of the first point in this track. (Time range:
1-99 sec)
Setting the 16 points of the track in the same way.
Press [TELE] key to down page.
Press [WIDE] key to up page.
The preset points are available in the track before the position of the
number N preset point that is set to “0”. After the “0” point position, preset
point number, speed lever and staying time all are set to “0”
automatically.
In the speed set up menu, 1 is the highest lever, 8 is the lowest lever. Any speed
values which is not in this range all be considered to the highest lever.
Press [OFF] to save and exit.
Move the joystick to exit without saving.
4.1.5 To call the number N track: [SHOT] N [ENTER]
The LCD displays:
Input Tour No: N
N: the number of track: 1-6.
4.1.6 To turn on Auto Pan: [AUTO]N1[ON]N2[OFF]
The auto pan function allows you to have the camera move back and
forth automatically, at a preset speed, between the 2 preset camera
positions.
For example:
Start position N1
End position N2
Before this function can be used, the auto pan start position (N1) and the
auto pan end position (N2) must be preset.
4.1.7 To turn off Auto Pan:
Move joystick, the dome will be controlled by manual.
4.1.8 Zoom is adjusted to a wide-angle view: [WIDE]
The LCD displays:
Zoom Wide.
4.1.9 Zoom is adjusted to a telescopic picture: [TELE]
The LCD displays:
Zoom Tele.
4.1.10 Focus is adjusted to far: [FAR]
The LCD displays:
Focus Far.
4.1.11 Focus adjust to near [NEAR]
The LCD displays:
Focus Near.
4.1.12 To open IRIS: [OPEN]
The LCD displays:
Iris Open.
4.1.13 To close IRIS: [CLOSE]
The LCD displays:
Iris Close.

※The general operations are listed in the above form. Some operations
are selectable for different cameras. For example: Not full kinds of
camera have the “0” illumination function. The command is only
supported by day/night switch dome camera. Normally the day/night
switch dome will switch between color and monochrome automatically
according to the background illumination. If switching to monochrome
mode manually, the camera can not switch to color automatically (auto
switch mode close), user need to switch back to color mode manually,
thus the auto switch mode will open.
4.2 Operation under PELCO protocol
4.2.1 Auto pan function :
To set the auto pan start position: [preser] 51 [Enter]
To set the auto pan stop position: [preser] 52 [Enter]
To start the auto pan function : [call] 51 [Enter]
To auto pan function allows you to have the dome camera move back
and forth automatically ,at a preset speed ,between the 51 and 52 preset
positions.
To turn off auto onpan: move the joystick
4.2.2 To call the cruise track: [call] 53 [Enter]
The dome camera will move from preset 1,preset 2…preset16.The dwell
time between the 2 presets are 4seconds .
4.3 How to control Speed Dome Camera viewpoint (pan / tilt position)

Normally, the Speed Dome Camera supports hemispheric viewpoints
(pan 360°and tilt 180°). The speed of dome movement depends on
the angle of the Joystick, the more you push the Joystick, the faster the
dome will move. The camera will keep the perfect picture through
auto-focus function during movement.
4.4 When operation exists error, the LCD will display “Error Operation”
for 1 second and then return to standard status.

Caution:
Please read the manuals of our controller and Speed Dome Camera
carefully before installation. Any un-correct operation will lead to damage
the device. Turn off the power before installing the device, and shielded
twist-pair cable should be used for communication of the devices. Keep
the device away from the high-power area and other interference.
5.1 How to control multiple- Speed Dome Camera by a keyboard as
above illustration (diagram 4).
