The new IPervoice access control called PIO controller is compatible with IPervoice release 4.1 and above. It consists of
a 2 door base controller ref UI-500-346 which is connected to an IP LAN Interface ref UI-500-354. Two Wiegand readers
can be connected to the base controller. A 2 door expansion card ref UI-500-347 can be stacked on the base unit to
increase the capacity up to four doors.
For each door, the following can be connected:
- a Wiegand reader (up to 9 wires including 3 LED + buzzer + hold),
- a RTE push button,
- a door contact,
- a dry contact C, NO, NC to activate an electrical lock or a mag lock.
The PIO controller base module always has to be connected to the IP LAN interface. Both products operate together
and can be considered as a single unit. All access permissions are saved in the IP interface so that, in case the server
is down, access is still granted by the IP interface via a battery back-up.
Between both modules, a RS485 bus can run for 1000 meters. This specification enables the door module to be
placed close to the doors and the IP module close to the TCP/IP network.
A wide range of readers are available for the PIO controller: proximity readers with or without Urmet design, RF reader as
well as keypads. All FDI/Urmet Mifare keys are compatible. 4 button RF fobs are also available if used with the FDI 34bit
Wiegand RF receiver.
