 Product Introduction
Inspur Yingxin NF5140M3 is a highly integrated 1U 2-way server product based on Romley
platform, suitable for the customers pursuing usability, function, and focusing on transforming
technology into cost performance to perfection. Its structure design is compact and flexible,
perfectly showing the characteristics of high performance and high reliability in limited space. It
can meet the commercial application environment which has high standard for space occupation,
network computing performance, reliability, especially for the current Internet applications of
dense deployment, distributed installation, compact space, centralized heat, focusing business
continuity and server highly manageability. The chassis rigid structure is reinforced, with the
design of remote management, also add the front-positioned VGA to bring down the maintenance
complexity.

Apply for Internet, telecom added value, government, communication, large and medium-size
enterprises, energy and other industries, such as game server, database server, Web front end
access server, directory server, firewall, MAIL server, high performance calculation, CACHE
server, IDC/ISP/ICP/ASP and other network, information operator's business application.
 Functional Features
Powerful performance:
Adopt the 32nm multi-core Intel® Xeon E5-2400 series processor based on the Sandy Bridge
architecture; support 64bit expansion, I/O acceleration and Turbo 2.0 hyper-threading technology;
compared with the platform of last generation, the server computing performance increases by
40%~60%, floating-point calculation performance increases by 60% ~ 80%, and energy saving
effect is obvious.
Adopt latest C600 series chipset. Onboard SATA controller supports Raid0/1/5/10/50.
Innovative motherboard VR circuit design and 3.5″HDD of high-capacity cost performance not
only guarantee energy saving and high performance, but also considerably improve cost
performance, thus the single cabinet server number can be increased, computing performance can
be increased and TCO can be reduced; adopting node manager 2.0 technology and continuously
monitoring server power consumption realize chip-level power consumption. It also can make
power consumption restriction policies which can considerably reduce power consumption when
the server is less used.
Adopt DDR3 memory, 12 DIMMs, memory up to 1600Mhz and maximum per DIMM up to
32G. Dual processors support 6-channel access and meet customers’ demands for performance,
also save more energy.
Support 4 pieces of 3.5″SAS/SATA HDD or 4 pieces of 2.5″ SAS/SATA/SSD HDD, also
support 2 pieces of built-in SSD to meet the demand for high capacity and high performance,
further to support more flexible and optional hot-swap storage devices.
Reliability:
Innovative enhanced strain cooling system and two-in-one directional air deflector design can
centralize and control the airflow direction so that under 1U high expandable conditions, CPU,
memory and the system work at the desirable temperature, improving system’s reliability and
prolonging the service life of components.
Key components, including HDDs support hot-swap redundancy technology, and the
replacement and maintenance of components can be realized without system shut down. Thus, the
system availability improves.
Support 512MB and 1GB cache high-performance RAID adapter of 6Gb/s interface rate,
compatible with SATA/SAS/SSD hard disk. Support various RAID level configurations and
provide customers with diversified data protection plans when the IO speed is increased.
Intelligence:
Configured with PCI-E3.0 x8 expansion slot with speed up to 8GB/s, the server adopts
adaptive technique, supports mainstream PCI-E device and users’ expansion demands.
Standard configuration with integrated BMC intelligent control chips; support remote control
abiding by IPMI2.0 codes and complete management for remote servers; support remote
operations, management and deployment system and application system; remote control of
operating conditions of servers.
Support latest Inspur Ruijie Server Kit V5.0, including the following 3 parts: Ruijie Server
Management Package, Ruijie System Intelligent Installation Package, and Ruijie System Backup
Recovery Package. The kit simplifies the maintenance and management of servers. It provides
customers with functions of automatic installation, remote data backup and management.
Flexibility:
Integrate SATA controller and have flexible HDD combination of 4+2 model. The application
model selection is easy and function expansion is convenient.
Network supports double modes, which are optional dual network ports and quad network
ports. The high-performance networks-on-chip is used. In the condition of small files with high
concurrent, it also can easily cope with. Support intranet/extranet separation mode, making
network management easier.
