Purpose
- Higher adaptor power results in larger component sizes (transformer, inductor, capacitors) in
proportion to the power increase, which conflicts with industry trend of smaller, lighter
products and accessories.
- Technology improvements are needed to further miniaturize the adapter design while still
meeting operating temperature and electrical performance specifications (Efficiency, EMI,
etc).
