Centrex IP 508G is an 8-button phone that offers a range of features to enhance your business communication. With its user-friendly interface and advanced capabilities, this phone can help you stay connected and productive. Make and receive calls, put calls on hold, adjust volume levels, and mute the microphone with ease. Utilize the speed dial function to quickly connect with frequently called numbers, and access voicemail messages with a dedicated button. The IP 508G also allows you to transfer calls, set up conference calls, and forward calls to another number when needed.

USING YOUR IP PHONE
PLACING OR ANSWERING CALLS
To place or answer a call, you can pick the handset, press the Speaker or
Headset button, or press a line button (on some phones).
PUTTING A CALL ON HOLD
To put a call on hold, press the Hold button or the Hold softkey. The caller hears a series of three rapid beeps or music while on hold.
To resume the call, press the flashing red line button for the call.
ENDING A CALL
If using the handset, hang up or press the endcall softkey. If using the speakerphone, press the Speaker button.
ADJUSTING VOLUME & MUTING
To adjust the volume of the handset or speaker, lift the handset or press the
Speaker button. Press + (plus) on the Volume button to increase the volume or press – (minus) to decrease the volume, then press save.
To mute the phone, press the Mute button. The button glows red. To unmute the phone, press the Mute button.
IN THE EVENT OF A POWER OUTAGE
If there should be a power outage at your office, log into the VoiceManager
Web Portal by going to cox.com to open the Cox Business home page, then by clicking MyAccount in the Business options at the top of the screen. Once you are logged in, you can forward your phone number to a cell phone or another number outside of your office.

Move left or right
Dials the last number called
Provides a programmed directory of phone numbers available for quick dial
Forwards all calls coming to your phone to a specified number
Do Not Disturb prevents incoming calls from ringing your phone
Allows you to speed dial the last call received
Add an entry
Resumes a call that is on hold
Allows you to answer a call ringing on another extension by entering the extension number

Handset: Pick up to place or answer a call.
2. Message Waiting Indicator: Displays solid red when you have a new voicemail message. Flashes red during an incoming call or when the phone’s firmware is being updated.
3. LCD Screen: Displays date and time, phone station name, line extenstions and softkey options.
4. Button Keys: Indicates phone line status or utilize a feature functions. Note: The IP 5048G – 8 Button
Phone has four additional buttons on the left side of the LCD screen.
5. Softkey Buttons: Press a softkey button to perform the action shown on the LCD screen.
6. Navigation Button: Press an arrow to scroll left, right, up, or down through items shown on the
LCD screen.

Messages Button: Press to access voice mail.
Hand Button: Press to place a call on hold.
9. Menu Button: Press to access additional features and functionality, such as ring tones, call forwarding and speed dials. Use the Navigation button to move through the options.
10. Mute Button: Press to mute or unmute the phone.
When phone is muted, the button glows red.
11. Volume Button: Press + to increase the volume and – to lower the volume of the handset.
12. Headset Button: Push to turn the headset on or off.
When the headset is on, the button glows green.
13. Speaker Button: Push to turn the speaker on or off.
When the speaker is on, the button glows green.

Keypad: Use to dial phone numbers, enter letters and choose menu items.

FUNCTION
Puts a call on hold at a designated
“park” number. The call is parked on the line until you unpark it or the caller disconnects
Cancels an action (such as a transfer)
While on a call, press to start a conference call and dial another number. After the second party answers, press conference again
Press to transfer, then dial the number to which to transfer. Press transfer again
Conference a held call with an active call
Transfer an active call to a held call, which will make the line available for calling
Blind transfer to another number
