At berbel, our motto is "filtering without filters". In our own research department, experienced technology experts have meticulously worked on the key to quickly and effectively banning cooking vapours from the kitchen. The result is unique ventilation technology without fat filters, based on the physical principle of centrifugal force. It's powerful, whisper-quiet, and economical. Lasting power at the same time as energy efficiency and the conservation of resources - these are our primary objectives when developing new hoods. Our engineers use their entire know-how in this process, resulting in berbel extractor hoods that uniquely combine the most important components of any premium product:

Our hoods are all hand-crafted with "Made-in-Germany" quality at our plant in Rheine, Westphalia.

With four kilogrammes of active carbon, berbel recirculation filters are particularly powerful, with an unrivalled odour-elimination rate of up to 97%. Here, too, we actively strive to protect the environment.

The filter housing remains in place; the used active carbon is easily replaced and the old carbon can be disposed of in the organic waste.

This protects the environment at the same time as being kind to your household budget!

Never want to change active carbon again? With the newly developed regenerative permalyt® filter, berbel can make your dream come true.

The berbel EcoSwitch control and the associated accessories enable an easy switch between recirculation mode and exhaust mode. You simply choose the appropriate operating mode depending on the weather and what's happening in the kitchen. In winter, in particular, energy-saving recirculation mode is recommended. This mode avoids the loss of any warm ambient air to the outside. However, if you manage to burn something, exhaust mode comes into play. You can then banish the resulting smoke or damp from the kitchen at the push of a button.

With the berbel BackFlow technology, a sophisticated concept allows you to make the most of existing air flows. This prevents the formation of condensation on the decorative glass surfaces. At the same time, the targeted diversion of cooking vapours increases the capture efficiency of your hood.

MOVELINE table lift hood rests in the worktop behind the hob. Once you're ready to stew, boil, or fry your food, you can raise it using the sensor-touch control. It tilts over the hob and reliably sucks in all of the vapours. When your dinner's ready, the MOVELINE can go home - it retracts back into the worktop. An intelligent function, noble design, and efficient way of working - really clever!

The FIRSTLINE UNSEEN built-in hood brings honour to its name. Today, practically nobody wants to do without a modern extractor hood in their kitchen, but not everyone wants to actually see it. Here, the Firstline Unseen is the perfect choice.

Thanks to its compact form, it can be built into flat top cupboards so that it's invisible.

It is easy to install using Easy-Klick mounting. The vapour intake is supported optimally by means of the BackFlow technology, and together with the berbel principle and the innovative CapillarTrap ensures top efficiency in cleaning air. The concealed, responsive control panel is used to control the three power stages and the strip of LED lighting, which is dazzle-free with an adjustable light temperature.

When you switch on the hood, it opens automatically, directing the extracted air to the outside in a flow-optimised manner. When closed, it is fully sealed, and energy losses are minimised. Lasting odour elimination - for the entire lifetime of the hood! You can only get it from berbel. Our engineers used the tried-and-tested principle of thermal catalysis to develop a technologically really intelligent product: The permalyt® recirculation filter. The maintenance-free recirculation filter system is the first of its type in that it is able to regenerate itself and has been certified by TÜV Rheinland with regard to its lifetime and excellent filter result.

The way it works is as easy as it is inspired: Both filter mats consist of a unique special active carbon. During standard operations, the air flows through these, and they eliminate all odours. The catalyst neutralises them during the regeneration phase using a thermal catalysis process. This process is repeated automatically at regular intervals. Cleaning air has never been so simple!

When it comes to clean air, berbel's on the spot. Our recirculation filters eliminate all unpleasant odours in no time at all, and thanks to their large volume, achieve unique performance values with an efficiency rate of up to 97%. The active carbon becomes saturated due to regular use and is no longer able to eliminate odours. berbel recirculation filters last for a particularly long time, and the active carbon only needs to be replaced every two to three years. This is really easy to do with our practical and environmentally friendly refill packs. Most of our hood models let you know that replacement is required via the control panel.
