Ever since the Ekofisk field was first discovered in 1969, Tranberg has been involved in its development. Tranberg supplied the complete heat-tracing system for Snøhvit (Hammerfest Gas Plant) and significant parts of the heat tracing
to Ormen Lange.

TEF TRACE – Frost protection and process heating
monitoring and control
Tranberg TEF Trace is a multi-loop
monitoring and control system for heat
tracing applications. The scalability of
the system will match most applications
where the need of a fully automatic
control and supervision is present.
The operators panel is located in the panel
door. The human, man, machine interface
(HMI) provides the personnel with an easyto-use menu where several parameters

CABLE GLANDS
Tranberg cable glands have been manufactured at our factory in Stavanger
for several decades. Our heavy duty
series of cable glands are preferred by
many projects. We are the Norwegian
market leader for selected cable glands
with the unique O-ring design. Our wide
range is normally produced and stocked
in brass material, but can be delivered in
Stainless Steel AISI 316. The range can
also be delivered with different kinds of
thread types such as metric, BSP, NPT i.e.
Tranbergs most recommended cable
glands, stopping plugs, drain plugs,
adapters and reducers are provided
with an integrated O-ring seal to secure
ingress protection. Other types of glands
from our range will be provided with
an additional teflon washer for ingress
protection.

The series TEF 1060 is the most flexible
enclosure system. The enclosures are, in
addition to series TEF 1058 and TEF 1059, often used for RIO systems,
switching and distribution panels, high
voltage solutions etc. The dimensions
span from 300x300x100mm upwards
by 25mm each direction. This gives the
most flexible possibilities to customized
solutions.

Tranberg have manufactured junction
boxes for hazardous areas for the
offshore installations in the North Sea
since the beginning of the Norwegian
oil history. Our strength is to develop
junction boxes together with customers
to meet the demands for flexibility and
best solutions. All our junction boxes
are produced in sheet metal, Stainless
Steel AISI 316L, to meet the market for
lighter weight and increased quality
demands.
The TEF 1058 and TEF 1059 series are
used for a wide range of installations.
Typical solutions are for the Electro, Instrument and Telecom market, ESD’s
and control stations i.e. They can be
equipped with cable glands, terminals,

pushbuttons and lamps, instruments,
relays, fiber optical connections and
patch panels, medium voltage
connections up to 6,6kV etc.
The series TEF 1060 is our most flexible
enclosure system. The enclosures are often
used for RIO systems, switching and distribution panels, high voltage solutions etc.
Tranberg enclosure system TEF 1060 also includes solutions for encapsulating
smaller EExd enclosures for Non-Ex
components. Our solution is to use an
aluminium EExd enclosure inside a TEF 1060 EExe Stainless Steel AISI 316L
cabinet. This results in a very flexible
and cost efficient solution.
Tranberg offers a wide range of EEx ed
control stations in Stainless Steel S316L
for use in hazardous environments. Our
certificate gives the opportunity to deliver
various sizes of Tranberg control stations
with various numbers and types of push
buttons, lamps etc. from several
manufacturers.
All control stations are delivered as
standard with:
1. 1 x Tranberg gland type
E204-3B-M25 (Ø13-17mm)
2. 1 x Tranberg trafolyte label for TAG. Text can be agreed upon.
3. Contact switches and cable glands as for typical installations, other to
be agreed upon or according to specifications.

oil industry in Norway and Denmark.
The company’s Quality Management System is certified according to ISO9001:2008 by Dekra.
Our production holds production quality assurance notification for ATEX and IECEx and Quality
assessment according to "Forskrift om skipsutstyr" (Directive 2009/26/EC). Nemko is authorizing
body for our EX workshop.
In 2006 Tranberg became a member of the R. STAHL Technology Group. R. Stahl is one of the global

Energy Saving:
Tranberg TEF Trace multi-loop monitoring and control system for
frost protection applications. The scalability of the system will
match most applications where the need of a fully automatic
control and supervision is present.

•Solid State Relays (SSR): Allows rapid output pulsing (PWM) to quickly achieve the set temperatures, and to ensure a precise temperature control.
•Scalability: The software is designed to use configurable parameters, allowing customer-specific solutions for e.g.
number of outputs and temperature readings.
•Smooth load control: The system will turn on the outputs in a sequence that minimizes in-rush current when e.g. turning on self-regulating heating cables.
•Intelligent monitoring: The system will automatically, and periodically, check each output for any earth-leakage and current consumption. All data is accessible in the menu in the control panel.

TEF Trace is modularized and typically delivered with either 36

phase incoming power, outgoing circuits, and interface signals

One-quarter of known oil and gas resources are located in extremely cold areas and therefore ships and platforms destined for these regions and other cold locations will require varying levels of freeze protection.

TEF 1060 SERIES
The series TEF 1060 is the most flexible enclosure system. The enclosures are, in addition to series TEF 1058 and TEF 1059, often
used for RIO systems, switching and distribution panels, high voltage solutions etc. The dimensions span from 300x300x100mm
upwards by 25mm each direction. This gives the most flexible
possibilities to customized solutions.
Our junction boxes are used for a wide range of installations.
Normal solutions are for the Electro, Instrument and Telecom
market, ESD’s and control stations i.e. They can be equipped
with cable glands, terminals, pushbuttons and lamps, instruments,
relays, fiber optical connections and patch panels, medium voltage connections up to 6,6kV.

AISI 316L / EN 1.4404. Delivered in sizes from 50-1000W

Tranberg cable glands have been manufactured at our factory in Stavanger for several decades. Our heavy duty series of cable
glands are preferred for many projects. We are the Norwegian
market leader for selected cable glands with the unique O-ring

A helideck status light system (a red
flashing beacon) should be fitted to give
any helicopter approaching or on deck

The colour of the perimeter lights has
changed from yellow to green. There are
additional requirements to the vertical
beam angle of the light and the light
intensity is increased from 25Cd to
30Cd. Tranberg can offer a LED
perimeter light which will have a very
long lamp life of 50,000 hours.
