Now Ubiquiti Networks launches the latest generation of CPE, the NanoBeam™. PtMP Client Links Improved Noise Immunity The NanoBeam directs RF energy in a tighter beamwidth. With the focus in one direction, the NanoBeam blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved. This feature is especially important in an area crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency. Integrated Design The NanoBeam models are available in two form factors: • All-in-One Design The Ubiquiti Research and Development team combined the radio and antenna to create a more efficient and compact CPE. The NanoBeam gets maximum gain out of the smallest footprint. • Dish Reflector Design Ubiquiti’s InnerFeed™ technology integrates the radio into the feedhorn of an antenna, so there is no need for a cable. This improves performance because it eliminates cable losses. Providing increased performance from its faster processor and innovative mechanical design at a low cost, the NanoBeam is extremely versatile and cost‑effective to deploy. The NanoBeam used as a CPE device for each client in an airMAX PtMP network. Wireless Client PtP Link All-in-One Design The NanoBeam as a powerful wireless client. Pair the RocketM’s radio with the RocketDish antenna’s reach to create the endpoint of a high-performance, Point-to-Point (PtP) backhaul. On the right is one example of how the RocketDish can be deployed. RocketDish with RocketM PtP (Point-to-Point) Backhaul Link Internet Backbone ISP Network Superior Performance The Ubiquiti Research and Development team engineered the RocketDish RD-5G31-AC with high isolation and Front-to-Back (F/B) ratio. The main benefit is improved Signal‑to-Noise Ratio (S/N or SNR). The improved F/B ratio and lower sidelobes reduce the interference from other transmitters in the area – potentially on the same tower. The improved S/N ratio allows a higher‑order modulation to be used, for example, 128QAM rather than 16QAM. This in turn increases the number of bits per second for a fixed bandwidth, which is also known as the data rate. Because of its advanced engineering, the RocketDish RD-5G31-AC provides: RocketDish with RocketM H V airMAX Sector with RocketM PtMP (Point-to-MultiPoint) airMAX Links Corporate Building Residence Internet Cafe Small Business Outdoor Hotspot The RocketDish antennas paired with RocketM devices create a powerful PtP backhaul link. • Enhanced co-location • Better performance • Additional range Utilize airMAX Technology* Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. This “time slot” method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. It provides many magnitudes of performance improvements in latency, throughput, and scalability compared to all other outdoor systems in its class. H V Intelligent QoS Priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming. Scalability High capacity and scalability. Long Distance Capable of high‑speed, carrier-class links. * When RocketDish is paired with RocketM www.ubnt.com/airmax#airMaxAntennas 2 RocketDish antennas and RocketM radios have been designed to seamlessly work together. No special tools are required – simply snap the RocketM into place using the built-in, universal Rocket mount. Innovative Mechanical Design Weatherproof Design • Ruggedized mounting The mounting bracket is designed to securely mount and maintain the position of the dish during harsh outdoor conditions. • Reduced weight The dish and mounting brackets are made of lightweight aluminum. • Convenient installation The bubble level allows for easy alignment. • Radome and shroud The included radome protects the inner components, while the metal shroud protects the cables and connectors from nature’s harshest elements. • Dish, mounting brackets, and fasteners For superior corrosion resistance, the dish and mounting brackets are power‑coated, and the fasteners are made of stainless steel.
