Digital Audio Optical Modules
192-kHz digital audio optical modules: TOTX142/TOTX142L and TORX142/TORX142L
The TOTX142 and TOTX142L transmitting modules and the TORX142 and
TORX142L receiving modules are available in standard panel-mount
packages. All of them offer a data rate of up to 25 Mb/s. The TOTX142L
and TORX142L are equipped with a shutter.
All the transmitting and receiving modules have a supply voltage of 3 V.
Operating at up to 25 Mbps, these modules support a wide variety of digital
audio applications, ranging from CD and Mini Disk players to high-end
audio equipment that requires sampling rates as high as 192 kHz, such as
DVD-Audio.
Since the new optical modules are compliant with the JEITA digital audio
standard, they can be used in combination with existing digital audio
TOSLINK modules.

CMOS Interface Logic ICs
Toshiba's CMOS logic IC families provide outstanding features, including low power
consumption, high noise immunity, wide operating temperature ranges and various interface
options, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. In particular, the 74VHC/74AC for
5-V systems and the 74VCX/LCX/LVX for 3.3-V systems are suitable for interfacing of
high-speed digital image processing. For analog signal processing units, in addition to our
existing analog switches and multiplexers (4000/74HC series), Toshiba also offers a
complete line of low-voltage analog multiplexers (LVX series) and a series of bus switches
featuring low ON resistance and high-speed switching. While the traditional devices are
housed in SOP and TSSOP packages, VHC and low-voltage devices in the Mini-MOS series

Regulators
1-A Low-Saturation Regulators with On/Off Control
The regulators with on/off control help save the system power consumption.
For performance improvement and power-saving, today's digital home appliances and information and communications
equipment require power supply ICs with on/off control. This is to achieve flexible power supply sequences and standby
power reduction. The following regulators have significantly lower output capacitance than the
conventional products thanks to circuit optimizations. To support a wide range of applications, the
new regulators are available with an output voltage rating of 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, 3.3, 5 and 9 V.

Active-high enable terminal for on/off control of the output voltage
COUT = 3.3 µF(*) compared to the COUT = 47 µF rating of the previous product line
● Low quiescent current (OFF mode): IB(OFF) = 0.5 µA (typ.)
● The TA48S00AF allows the output voltage to vary by means of an external resistor.
