Introduction
EasyIO 30P
EasyIO 30P Sedona has the ability to trend history data. It enable user create trending of points directly into the controller memory without having to have a network controller to do it.
This feature is very handy when it comes to a small business outlet.
Total internal memory allocations for the history is 32KB. This memory is isolated from the sedona apps memory allocation.
Below is a summary of total history records versus memory size.

User can trend up to approx 4000 records depending on the configurations with the 32 KB internal memory.
EasyIO FG Series
EasyIO FG Series has the ability to trend history data. It enable user to create trending of points directly into the controller memory without having to have a network controller.
This feature is very handy when it comes to a small business outlet.
However total internal memory allocations for the history is only 32KB (same as EasyIO 30P). This memory is isolated from the Sedona apps memory allocation.
The following instructions are to stored history into EasyIO FG Series 32 KB internal memory.
For the EasyIO FG Series, it comes with a Micro SD Card slot and it is capable of storing history tables.
With huge amount of memory space history records can huge.

EasyIOHistory kit 1.0.45.1.1
EasyioHistory kit 1.0.45.1.1 is an independent history kit. This kit needs pstore kit to be installed to enable history logging. This kit is only applicable if Sedona workbench is used as the Sedona programming tool.
For all Sedona workbench users, please install this version of easyioHistory kit.

EasyioHistory kit 1.0.45.3.1 is a kit is independent history kit. This kit needs pstore kit to be installed to enable history logging. This kit is only applicable if CPT Tools is used as the Sedona programming tool.

Configuring History for EasyIO 30P
To configure/stored history into the 32 KB internal memory pstore.kit must pre installed in to the
EasyIO 30P controller.
Follow the steps below to store history in to internal memory of the EasyIO 30P.
Instructions below are based on Sedona workbench.
Note: These steps are also applicable to EasyIO FG Series if history is stored in the internal memory.
Step 1
Connect to the controller with Sedona Workbench.
Default login credentials are as below;
IP address: 192.168.10.10
Username: admin
Password :< no password> (do not enter any password)
Manage kits to install easyioHistory and PStore into the controller.
Hit apply when selection is done. The controller will reboot and connection will be lost.
A manual reconnection to the controller is required.
Step 2
Choose pstore from Sedona Palette
Drag & drop PstoreService into your App (in this case Service folder). The Pstore Service must be under the Service folder.
Note:
Do not rename this object. Remain the default name.
Duplication of the object is strictly not allowed.

Step 3
Double click on the PStoreS object to display PStore manager.
History Manager , manage histories.
Memory space monitor , total of 32KB available
Click “Add” to add a history extension. Choose from the drop down list.

Step 4
Select” easyioHistory :easyioHisIntervalBool”.
Give the history a name at the File Name field. Max 7 characters and hit “OK”.
Step 5
By default, every history created will be fault or bad format or bad size. Please follow below steps to configure correctly.
Select the history that been created.

Status is badSize.
Select the history created and click
“Layout” to configure the size and offset.
Step 6
Specify the memory size and offset for the selected history.
This offset and size will reflect the history allocation status bar on the right.

The size configure for this history is 1KB and the memory space occupy is from 0 -1024.
The next history will start from the memory space
1024 – user defines.
Step 7
Reselect the history again and click on “Clear”. This will clear the selected memory space that contains any data.

Step 8
The history extension is a standalone object and needs a value input.
Link mark from a valid value to the history object.
Link from the source > out slot to the target Cv slot.

Step 9
To change the interval (property) for the history configuration, right click at the history extension object and go to sedona property sheet.
Minimum interval allowed is 1 min.
Step 10
To view the history, double click at the history extension. Default view is chart view. User can view the history as table view.

Step 11
Repeat step 4 to step 9 for other type or additional history extensions.

Configuring History for EasyIO FG Series
To configure/stored history into the 32 KB internal memory pstore.kit must pre installed in to the
EasyIO FG Series controller.
Follow the steps below to store history in to internal memory of the EasyIO FG Series.
Instructions below are based on CPT Tools.
Note: These steps are also applicable to EasyIO 30P Series if intended history is stored in to the internal memory.
Step 1
Connect to the controller with Sedona Workbench.
Default login credentials are as below;

Username: admin
Password :< no password> (do not enter any password)
Go to Kit Management and install easyioHistory and Pstore kit.
Step 2
Choose pstore from library.
Drag & drop PstoreService into your App (in this case Service folder). The Pstore Service must be placed under the Service folder.
Note:
Do not rename this object. Remain the default name.
Duplication of the object is strictly not allowed.

Step 3
Double click on the PStoreS object to display the workspace.
Add history object by drag and drop any object from the easyioHistory kit library according to the data type and trending type.

In this example, covFloat object is used. The object name can be change and the Sedona workbench limitation applies; max 7 character, special character is not allowed and etc.
Step 4
Double click the covFloat object created in the pstore service workspace. It will display the history configuration window as a pop up window.
Step 5
Configure the Start the starting point of the memory space for the history.
Configure total number of record needed.
Step 6
Click “Apply” to confirm the history properties.

Step 7
Click on “Clear Data” to empty the memory location if old data is present.
This step will also clear the error of “formatError”.

Display all history objects in the pstore service.
History extension records and memory space configuration
Memory space indicator.
It is also a slider to move the history within the memory space or edit the total number of records for the particular history.
This function is to pack the memory space.
It helps to rearrange the memory space if there is any overlapping or any empty gp created.
Clear Data will clear content of the memory space selected.
All data stored previously will be erased.

Step 8
Link a valid value to the history object (covFloat).
The history will starts right after a valid value is link into the history object.
In this example, a Ramp object in the EasyIO folder is being used.
Step 9
To view the history, double click the history object created.
It will display the history chart.

Step 10
History settings can be edited by clicking the icon at the top right of the chart.
History Chart Tool Bar Tech Tips
Icon Description
Time Range Selection.
Selection of the start time to display the history chart.
Time Range Selection.
Selection of the end time to display the history chart.
Make the history chart auto refresh when viewing.
Manual refresh the history chart.
If the Auto Refresh check box is tick, this option is no longer in use.
Zoom In to view the chart larger.
Zoom Out to view the chart smaller.
Auto Zoom Fit.

Step 11
The history chart can be manually zoom in or out by holding down the right mouse button while dragging across the chart.
Chart is highlighted while right mouse button is hold while dragging.
Release the right mouse button to view the zoomed chart.
