VG-SERIES VERTICAL LIFT GATE MOUNTING TIPS 2002 Karbach St. Houston, TX 77092 Toll Free: 800-962-6111 www.safetypg.com BY: Paul Boyum P/N: 190158 DATE: 21 December 2016 ECO: TX-00026 Page 1 of 1 REVISION: C The Fabenco VG-Series Vertical Lift Gate provides protection in areas that do not have adequate swing clearance. Custom gas struts allow the gate to open easily. Tapered guides on the receiver post allow ease of alignment when closing. Applications include staircase, ladder, and platform openings. Step 1: Position the vertical lift gate in the closed position and latch it into the receiver post. Position the assembly into the approximate position at the edge of the opening. Step 2: Align the edge of the receiver post to be flush with the edge of the opening. Move the receiver post and vertical lift gate far enough away from the wall to avoid interference when the gate is opened. See illustration above. The gap between the vertical lift gate and the wall of the opening must not be wide enough to permit a person to pass through. Step 3: Once accurately positioned, mark the position of the mounting plate holes on the floor. The posts have holes to accept ½” diameter anchors or fasteners. The fastening hardware is not provided by Fabenco, Inc. ANNUAL INSPECTION PROCEDURE • • Verify that all fasteners are tightened. • Replace any missing fasteners. Inspect product for any damage.
