Assembly Instructions

1) Place the fountain base on a level surface.

2) Before attaching the water supply tube to the pump, make sure to adjust the flow control knob to the maximum (+) setting.

3) Feed the power cord on the pump down through the base, leading it through the notch in the bottom of the base. Position the cord and fountain base to face the electrical outlet if possible.

4) Fill the base with distilled water to a level 2 inches from the top of the base. Tap water can be used, but poor water quality may accelerate wear and tear on the pump and other fountain parts.

5) Connect the power cable to the power source. Follow local electrical codes when selecting an extension cord size (if required) and be sure to use a GFCI outlet when using outdoors.

The fountain will begin to flow. (See Hints & Troubleshooting if water does not flow)

Maintenance

1) Keep water clean.

2) Clean periodically to prevent mineral deposits and contamination.

3) Disconnect the power and empty the basin if fountain will not be used for an extended time.

4) If installed outdoors and in a freeze – area of the country, ensure all water is removed and

The unit is completely dry. Product is not to be operated below 41 deg. F (5 deg. C) – Freeze damage may occur

Important

1) To reduce risk of electric shock, connect only to a properly grounded outlet.

2) To reduce risk of electric shock, inspect cord for damage before installation and/or maintenance. Replace entire pump/cord assembly if damage is found.

3) Do not remove the grounding pin from the cord.

4) Do not exceed voltage shown on pump.

5) Always disconnect from electrical outlet before handling the pump.

6) Do not let the pump run dry.

7) Do not lift the pump by it’s power cord.

8) Do not pump heated liquids.

9) Operate in freshwater only.

10) Pump must be completely submerged for proper operation and cooling.

Hints & Troubleshooting

1) If the pump operates, but there is no flow, check to ensure the pump is fully submerged.

2) If the pump operates, but there is no flow, check the supply tubing for kinks.

3) If the pump operates, but there is no flow, and if the pump is submerged and there are no kinks in the supply tubing, lift the pump from the water. Remove supply tubing at pump outlet and clean tubing inside and out if necessary. Reset pump in water (outlet side up) and once water begins to flow, reattach supply tubing.
