Fan Speed Wall Control installation Instructions
IMPORTANT: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL
THISEEECTRICAL DEVICE.
Installation of this controlrequiresthatathree-conductor cable with ground wire be
run between the control wall box and the ceiling fan outlet box.

1. READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL CAREFULLY. RETAIN OWNER'S MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
2. TO AVOID POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHOCK, BE SURE ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF AT THE FUSE
BOX OR CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL BEFORE INSTALLING THE WALL CONTROL.
3. DONOT INSTALL WALL CONTROL NEAR HEAT PRODUCING EQUIPMENT.
4. ALL WIRING MUST CONFORM TO NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES. IF YOU FEEL YOU DO
NOT HAVE ENOUGH ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE, HAVE ALICENSED ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THE
CONTRAL.
5. USE OF THIS CONTROL WITH SOME CEILING FANS COULD RESULT IN FIRE, SHOCK AND SERIOUS
PERSONAL INJURY. USE THIS SPEED CONTROL ONLY WITH CAPACITOR SPEED CONTROLLED
CEILING FANS.

_ This fan speed wall control is rated for 2 amps at 120volts. Itis designed to control 2 of ceiling fans operation.
To connect more than one fan to this wall control, your ceiling outlet boxes must be wired to one central wall
outlet. Additional wiring may needed make these connections. We suggest that you call a licensed electrician if
you need to control more than one fan. To avoid erratic speeds and possible damage to your fan, use this control
only with the fan pull chain switch set to its highest speed setting.
Installation
Electric connections should be in accordance with the national electrical codes and all local codes.
Before starting , disconnect power to the circuit at the fuse box or circuit breaker box.
1. Disconnect the power and remove the existing wall
plate and switch. (Figure 1)
2. Setthe fan speed wall control in the OFF position
(Switch is in down position)...

3. Make wire connections and secure them with wire nuts supplied as follows:
(REFER TO Figure 2)
*Connect the one of the black wires from all control to the black (hot) wire in outlet that comes from the
household power supply (top wire)
*Connect the other black wire from the wall control to the other black wire (bottom wire).
This wire goes up to the ceiling's outlet box where your fan is installed.
“Use wire nuts (supplied) to secure the electrical connections.
*Wire the fan according to instructions in the ceiling fan's Installation Instruction.

4. (Figure 3) Attach the Speed Wall Control to the outlet (wall) box and secure with 2 outlet box Screws.

Operation
Setthefanonits highspeed pull chain setting. Then use your walicontrolto selectany
ofthe 3 speeds and OFF.
NOTE
If your fan has the original pull chain switch, please always have the fan switch set to
high speed before using the wall control. To avoid accidental puli chain use, shorten chain
by cutting 1 inch below switch body.
