United States Customs and
Border Protection (USCBP)
The airport has special security just for people travelling
to the US. These officers work hard to make sure your
plane is as safe as it could be. When you are standing in
the big room, look around.
Can you see three bears? Can you see mountains?
Did you know there is a rabbit on that big painting? Can
you find him? The artist is Jason Carter - from Edmonton!
Can you colour the three
bears from the Old Man
Mountain painting?
Arriving at EIA from another
country
When your plane arrives at EIA from another country you
get to walk down a fun hallway! There are lights on a big
long screen that move when YOU walk down the corridor!
You make the lights move. It’s fun for kids and grown ups!
The art is created by a group called Electroland.
Can you find your way
through the maze of lights?
FINISH!
Apron
Solar Panels
The apron is the whole area next to the airport building
outside that all the planes park on. More planes can park
next to the airport now because there are 9 new bridges
which are like parking spots for planes!
Did you know that there are panels on the roof that
absorb sunlight and turns it into energy to heat the water
used in the airport to energize the airport! Isn’t that
smart?! Just like the airport, all the rooms in your house
can be powered by the sun too! Check out the drawing
below to find out how solar panels can energize YOUR
bedroom, living room, and even basement.
Can you help each
plane find their
parking spot?
Can you colour the house?
This is what a
solar panel
looks like!
Can you colour each
plane with the
same colour as their
parking spot dot?

Summer & Winter Washrooms

hidden under the floor? It’s there for when EIA has even
more people using the airport than we do now!

Animals at EIA
You can fly to over 50 places from Edmonton without stopping
anywhere else!
Each year, about 1,000 animals, mainly cats and dogs, are
moved through EIA on special cargo planes.
Can you find all of the non-stop destinations listed below in the word
search? Circle each letter individually as shown. When you have found all
of the non-stops, the remaining letters will form a secret message!
Most of the animals are puppies and kittens often just weeks
old. Occasionally, more exotic animals like reptiles and
