Installation
1
Installing the faucet assembly
CAUTION: Always turn off the water supply before removing an existing faucet or replacing any part of a faucet. Open the faucet handle to relieve water pressure and ensure that the water is completely shut off.
□ Shut off the water supply. Remove the old faucet.
□ Clean the mounting surface.
□ Remove the preassembled lock nut (H) and washers (G) from the new faucet (A).
□ Place the faucet (A) through the mounting holes in the sink.
□ Ensure the slot openings of the washer (G) face toward to the rear of the sink.
□ Secure the faucet (A) to the sink using the lock nut (H) provided.

Installing the faucet handles
NOTE: The hot water valve is identified with a label.
□ Remove the preassembled nuts (E) and washers
(D) from the hot and cold faucet handles (B and C).
□ Loosen the screws (F) on the nuts (E) until the ends of the screws (F) are flush with the face of the nuts (E).
□ Insert the hot faucet handle (B) to the left of the spout and cold faucet handle (C) to the right of the spout.
□ Attach the faucet handles (B and C) underneath the sink using the washers (D) and nuts (E).
Securely tighten the screws (F) on the nuts (E).

Preparing the pop-up assembly
□ Remove the pop up stopper (J) and drain flange (K) from the drain body.
□ Screw the lock nut (M) all the way down, and push the rubber washer (L) down.

Installing the drain body
□ Apply silicone sealant (not included) under the drain flange (K) and place the drain flange (K) into the drain hole of the sink.
□ From underneath the sink, screw the drain body (N) onto the drain flange (K). Ensure that the opening (1) for the ball rod on the drain body (N) faces towards the rear of the sink.
□ Tighten the rubber washer (L) and lock nut (M) on the drain body (N). Do not overtighten.

5 Installing the stopper and ball rod
NOTE: In shallow cabinet installations, the ball rod (P) may need to be shortened. Use a hack saw to cut the end of the rod, away from the ball, to the desired length.
□ Insert the stopper (J) into the drain hole in the sink.
□ Remove the lift rod strap (S) and spring clip (Q) from the ball rod (P).
□ Remove the ball nut (O). Insert the ball rod (P) into the drain body (N) and through the hole of the stopper (J). See insert 1.
□ For easier removal and cleaning, rotate the stopper (J) 90 degrees so that the ball rod (P) does not go through the hole in the stopper (J).
See insert 2.
□ Secure the ball nut (O) against the hole in the drain body (N) and tighten the ball nut (O) onto the threaded end. Do not overtighten.

Installing the lift rod
□ Insert the lift rod (T) through the faucet (A) and down into the lift rod strap (S). Tighten the thumb screw (R).

Attaching the ball rod and strap
□ Attach the ball rod (P) to the lift rod strap (S) using the spring clip (Q).

Adjusting the lift rod
□ Loosen the thumb screw (R) on the lift rod strap (S).
□ Push down on the lift rod (T) until the drain stopper is in the open position. Retighten the thumb screw (R).

9 Attaching the quick connecting hose
□ Attach the quick connecting hose (I) connections to the hot faucet handle (B) connection, faucet body (A) connection, and cold faucet handle (C) connection. Push until the connections snap together.
□ Pull down moderately to ensure the connection has been made.

10 Making the water supply connections
□ Use 1/2 in. I.P.S. faucet connections (2), or use supply line coupling nuts (3) (not included) with a 3/8 in. O.D. ball-nose riser (1).
NOTE: Before tightening the faucet connector to the water supply, apply a second wrench to the supply tube fitting.
This will prevent the supply tube from moving or twisting when tightening the faucet connector. Do not overtighten.

Operation

Flushing and checking for leaks
IMPORTANT: After installation is complete, remove the aerator with the plastic wrench (U) to flush the water lines.
□ Ensuring the handles are in the off position, turn on the water supply and check for leaks. If you discover any leaks, check your connections to ensure they are installed properly.
□ Remove the aerator and housing (if applicable).
Turn on the hot and cold handles to allow the water to run for at least one minute. This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts.
□ Turn off the water and reinstall the aerator and housing (if applicable).

□ If it is necessary to remove the quick connector
(1), squeeze the tabs (2) on the quick connector and then pull down to disconnect.

Care and Cleaning
□ To clean, wipe down with a damp cloth and towel dry.
□ Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals when cleaning this faucet, or the warranty will be voided.
Troubleshooting
NOTE: Refer to the service parts section in this manual for a detailed drawing showing the location of the parts listed below.
Problem
There are leaks from the handle.
The aerator has an irregular or reduced water flow.
Possible Cause
The bonnet nut has come loose and/or the washer is dirty or damaged.
The aerator is dirty or mis-fitted.
The water will not shut off completely.
Leaking from sink drain at the base of the sink.
The cartridge is dirty or broken.
Rough or irregular surface on sink.
Solution
□ Tighten the bonnet nut.
□ Clean or replace the washer.
□ This faucet features an easy clean aerator. Gently rub your fingers against the face of the aerator to break away any debris or build up.
□ Remove the handle to check the cartridge.
□ Clean or replace.
□ Apply additional silicone sealant to the beveled side of the drain flange.
□ Retighten and test for leaks.

Instalación
1 Cómo instalar el ensamblaje del grifo
PRECAUCIÓN: Cierra siempre el suministro de agua antes de quitar un grifo existente o reemplazar cualquier pieza de un grifo. Abre la llave del grifo para liberar la presión de agua y asegúrate de que el suministro de agua esté completamente cerrado.
□ Cierra el suministro de agua. Retira el grifo anterior.
□ Limpia la superficie de montaje.
□ Retira las contratuerca (H) preensambladas y las arandela (G) del grifo (A) nuevo.
□ Coloca la mezcladora (A) en los orificios de montaje del lavabo.
□ Asegúrate de que las ranuras de la arandela (G) apunten hacia el fregadero.
□ Asegura el grifo (A) al lavamanos con las contratuercas (H) suministradas.
2 Cómo instalar las llaves del grifo
NOTA: La válvula de agua caliente está identificada con una etiqueta.
□ Retira las tuercas preensambladas (E) y las arandelas (D) de las llaves de agua caliente y fría (B y C) del grifo.
□ Afloja los tornillos (F) en las tuercas (E) hasta que los extremos de los tornillos (F) estén al ras de la cara de las tuercas (E).
□ Inserta la llave caliente (B) del grifo a la izquierda del caño y la llave fría (C) del grifo a la derecha del caño.
□ Asegura las llaves (B y C) del grifo bajo el lavamanos usando las arandelas (D) y las tuercas (E). Aprieta bien los tornillos (F) en las tuercas (E).

3 Cómo preparar el ensamblaje emergente
□ Retira el tapón emergente (J) y la brida (K) del cuerpo del drenaje.
□ Enrosca la tuerca de bloqueo (M) hasta el límite.
Presiona la arandela de goma (L) hacia abajo.
4 Cómo instalar el cuerpo del drenaje
□ Aplica sellador de silicona (no incluido) debajo de la brida del drenaje (K) y coloca ésta dentro del orificio de drenaje del lavabo.
□ Desde la parte inferior del lavabo, enrosca el cuerpo del drenaje (N) en la brida del drenaje (K).
Asegúrate de que la abertura (1) para la varilla de bola del cuerpo del drenaje (N) esté frente a la parte posterior del lavabo.

□ Aprieta la arandela de goma (L) y la tuerca de bloqueo (M) en el cuerpo del drenaje (N). No aprietes demasiado.

5 Cómo instalar el tapón y la varilla de bola
NOTA: En instalaciones de gabinete poco profundas, puede que se necesite recortar la varilla de bola (P). Con una sierra para metales, corta a la longitud deseada el extremo de la varilla más alejado de la bola.
□ Inserta el tapón (J) en el orificio del drenaje del lavabo.
□ Retira la correa de la varilla de elevación (S) y el sujetador de resorte (Q) de la varilla de bola (P).
□ Retira la tuerca de bola (O). Inserta la varilla de bola (P) en el cuerpo del drenaje (N) y a través del orificio del tapón (J). Consulta el folleto 1.
6 Cómo instalar la varilla de elevación
□ Inserta la varilla de elevación (T) a través de la mezcladora (A) y de la correa de la varilla de elevación (S). Aprieta el tornillo de ajuste manual (R).

□ Para quitarlo y limpiarlo más fácilmente, gira el tapón (J) 90 grados de forma tal que la varilla de bola (P) no penetre en el orificio del tapón (J).
Consulta el folleto 2.
□ Asegura la tuerca de bola (O) contra el orificio del cuerpo del drenaje (N) y aprieta la tuerca de bola (O) en el extremo roscado. No aprietes demasiado.

7 Como fijar la varilla de bola y la correa
□ Fija la varilla de bola (P) a la correa de la varilla de elevación (S) con el sujetador de resorte (Q).
8 Cómo ajustar la varilla de elevación
□ Afloja el tornillo de ajuste manual (R) en la correa de la varilla de elevación (S).
□ Presiona hacia abajo la varilla de elevación (T) hasta que el tapón del drenaje esté en la posición de abierto. Aprieta nuevamente el tornillo de ajuste manual (R).

9 Cómo montar la manguera de conexión rápida
□ Conecta las conexiones de la manguera de conexión rápida (I) a la conexión de la llave de agua caliente (B), la conexión del cuerpo del grifo (A) y a la conexión de la llave de agua fría (C).
Presiona hasta que las conexiones se aseguren entre sí.
□ Hala hacia abajo ligeramente para comprobar que la conexión es segura.

10 Cómo hacer las conexiones del suministro de agua
□ Usa conexiones de grifos de 1/2" IPS (2) o tuercas de acoplamiento de líneas de suministro
(3) (no incluidas) con un tubo montante de bola de diámetro exterior de 3/8" (1).
NOTA: Antes de apretar el conector del grifo al suministro de agua, fija el accesorio de la tubería de suministro colocando una segunda llave . Esto evitará que la tubería de suministro se mueva o gire cuando aprietes el conector del grifo. No aprietes demasiado.

Funcionamiento
1 Cómo purgar las tuberías y comprobar que no haya fugas
IMPORTANTE: Después de terminar la instalación, retira el aireador con la llave de plástico (U) para purgar las tuberías de agua.
□ Con los manerales en la posición de cerrado, abre el suministro del agua y comprueba que no haya filtraciones. Si descubres alguna filtración, verifica tus conexiones para asegurarte de que estén instaladas adecuadamente.
□ Retira el aireador y la carcasa (si corresponde).
Abre los manerales del suministro de agua fría y caliente y deja que corran durante al menos un minuto cada una. Esto elimina cualquier desecho que pudiera dañar las piezas internas.
□ Cierra el suministro de agua y vuelve a colocar el aireador y la carcasa (si corresponde).

□ Para limpiar, usa un paño húmedo y seca con una toalla.
□ No uses limpiadores abrasivos, esponjas de alambre o productos químicos fuertes para limpiar esta mezcladora, pues ello anulará la garantía.

NOTA: Consulta la sección de piezas de repuesto de este manual para ver un dibujo detallado que muestra la ubicación de las piezas enumeradas a continuación.
Problema
Hay filtración por el maneral.
El aireador tiene un flujo de agua irregular o reducido.
El suministro de agua no se corta completamente.
Hay filtración por el drenaje del lavabo en la base del lavabo.
Posible causa
La tuerca del bonete se ha aflojado y/o la arandela está sucia o dañada.
El aireador está sucio o mal instalado.
El cartucho está sucio o dañado.
Superficie rugosa o irregular en el lavabo.
Solución
□ Aprieta la tuerca del bonete.
□ Limpia la arandela o reemplázala.
□ Este grifo presenta un aireador de limpieza fácil. Frota con cuidado tus dedos contra el frente del aireador para desintegrar cualquier residuo o acumulación.
□ Retira la llave para revisar el cartucho.
□ Limpia o reemplaza.
□ Aplica más sellador de silicona al lado biselado de la brida del drenaje.
□ Aprieta nuevamente y verifica que no haya filtraciones.
