This high-value, easy-to -install ceiling speaker delivers very good sound at modest cost. It is an excellent choice for distributedmusic systems and other applications requiring unobtrusive, high-quality loudspeakers. (CS-800-Rs can work well as surround speakers in home theater systems, for example.) Built around an 8-inch woofer, the CS-800-R produces bass with a solidity and depth not normally associated with inceiling designs, and it blends well both sonically and cosmetically with the smaller
CS-650-R in situations that demand a combination of larger and smaller speakers, as well as with Contractor Series in-walls.
The direct-radiating CS-800-R takes full advantage of the latest materials technology to come as close as possible to the sound and performance of our horn models, allowing easy mixing with them also. Its polymer cone woofer has a durable rubber surround and a large motor structure for high sensitivity. A coaxially mounted 1-inch polymer-dome tweeter distributes smooth, clear highs over a wide area. The tweeter is liquid-cooled for maximum power handling and reliability.
The CS-800-R’s rugged ABS frame ensures long, trouble-free operation. And the speaker’s 8-ohm impedance is compatible with all amplifiers. The white frame and grille can be painted to match the ceiling.
