PROFILE A Profile is a convenient way of saving all of the changes you have made on your device. A single Profile can store all the settings you have made under the Volume Tab, Equalizer Tab and Lighting Tab. Profile 1 contains the default settings for your device. Any changes made on the headset settings will be automatically saved. If you want to rename this profile, you may do so by typing on the field below Profile Name. There are other options available in the profile section such as creating a new profile by clicking the button, deleting the current profile by clicking the button and duplicating the current profile by clicking the button. You can even set a profile to work with a specific program or application by using the Link Program option and clicking the button to search for it. VOLUME TAB The Volume Tab is your landing page when you first install Razer Synapse 2.0. This tab allows you to customize your device’s speaker and microphone settings. The changes made in this tab are automatically saved to your current profile. Listed below are the customization options and their descriptions. Volume Slider - Increases or decreases the sound level of your headset’s speakers. If you wish to completely turn off the sound from your speakers, you may do so by selecting the Mute option. Balance Slider - Decreases the sound level of one headset speaker while maintaining the sound level of the other. If you wish to reduce the sound level of the left speaker, you may do so by moving the Balance Slider to the right. This action will not increase the sound level of the right speaker as that will be determined by the Volume Slider. Dolby® Pro Logic® IIx / Dolby® Headphone - Activates the virtual surround sound system of your headset. Mic Slider - Increases or decreases the sound level of your headset’s microphone. If you wish to completely turn off your microphone’s functionality, you may do so by selecting the Mute option. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) - Automatically adjusts all of the sounds received by the microphone to an optimum level. Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) - Prevents the microphone from receiving feedback from the headset’s speakers. Mic Boost - Increases the current sound level of your microphone. EQUALIZER TAB The Equalizer Tab allows you to filter or amplify the sound on your headset’s speakers. You may choose to manually adjust the sliders to each sound frequency to achieve the desired effect or choose from the available presets on the dropdown menu. The changes made in this tab are automatically saved to your current profile. LIGHTING TAB The Lighting Tab allows you to customize the look of your headset by choosing from over 16 million colors for the backlight or you may select the Spectrum Cycling option to allow the colors to change indefinitely. This tab also allows you to adjust the intensity of the backlight by using the Brightness slider. Selecting the In-game Lighting Effects enables Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ to control the color and brightness of your headset while you are playing the game. The changes made in this tab are automatically saved to your current profile. 7. SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE SAFETY GUIDELINES In order to achieve maximum safety while using your Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Gaming Headset, we suggest that you adopt the following guidelines: 1. Should you have trouble operating the device properly and troubleshooting does not work, unplug the device and contact the Razer hotline or go to www.razersupport.com for support. Do not attempt to service or fix the device yourself at any time. 2. Do not take apart the device (doing so will void your warranty) and do not attempt to operate it under abnormal current loads. 3. Keep the device away from liquid, humidity or moisture. Operate the device only within the specific temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Should the temperature exceed this range, unplug and switch off the device in order to let the temperature stabilize within the optimal temperature range. 4. The Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Gaming Headset isolates external ambient sounds even at low volumes, resulting in lowered awareness of your external surroundings. Please remove the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Gaming Headset when engaging in any activity that requires active awareness of your surroundings. 5. Listening to excessively loud volumes over extended periods of time can damage your hearing. Furthermore, legislation of certain countries permits a maximum sound level of 86db to affect your hearing for 8 hours a day. We therefore recommend that you reduce the volume to a comfortable level when listening for prolonged periods of time. Please, take good care of your hearing. MAINTENANCE AND USE The Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Gaming Headset requires minimum maintenance to keep it in optimum condition. Once a month we recommend you unplug the device from the USB port and clean it using a soft cloth or cotton swab with a bit of warm water to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or harsh cleaning agents. 8. LEGALESE COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFORMATION ©2011 Razer USA Ltd. Patent Pending. All Rights Reserved.
