The TEK 2 is a new generation of TekMonitors designed with a more advanced microcontroller which supports power
over Ethernet (POE). Design of the TEK 2 makes it easier to install by using POE, an RJ-11 connector for the
TekSecurity and a separate connector for the occupancy sensor. The TEK 2 is designed for low cost installations and
does not have relays.
Use the TEK 2 to monitor and control video projectors, monitors and many other classroom or office space devices.
Unlike a control system that requires a knowledgeable programmer, the TEK 2 uses an intuitive step-by-step guide called
TekWizard. When monitoring a device, the TEK 2 can either operate autonomously by sending email messages for theft
detection, error condition and usage report, or with the TekManager asset management software using Version 3.0 or
higher.
