APPARATUS
INTERCOM
The 30XXR series intercom provides hearing
loss protection that can occur from exposure
to high noise levels. Each crew member will
hear all radio traffic and be able to communicate
over the intercom. Crew members wearing
radio-transmit headsets may transmit over the
apparatus radio from any headset position in
the system. Intercom-only headsets will not
transmit over the radio.
The 30XXR series intercom has a compatible
remote head. The remote head controls all
functions of the 30XXR series intercom from
up to two remote locations. It uses the same
durable membrane switch plate that is used
on the base intercom to control volume and
change radios. Installation options include
flush mount or tilt bracket, which provide easy
viewing from many angles. The remote head is
compact (71/8" wide x 3" high x 7/8" deep)
and can be mounted as far as 100 feet from
the base unit.
