DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE MONITOR
Do not obstruct or poke objects into the monitor as this may cause fire,
electric shock or damage.
OPERATE WITH THE SPECIFIED POWER SUPPLY
Only operate the monitor with the specified power supply. Use of an incorrect
voltage will cause malfunction and can result in fire or electric shock.
PROTECT THE CABLES
Do not pull or bend the power cable and signal cable. Do not place the
monitor or any other heavy objects on the cables. If damaged, the cables may
cause fire or electric shock.
ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
It is advisable not to operate the monitor during a heavy thunderstorm as the
continual breaks in power may cause malfunction. It is also advised not to
touch the plug in these circumstances as it may cause an electric shock.
PRECAUTI NS
INSTALLATION LOCATION (GENERAL)
Do not install the monitor where sudden temperature changes may occur, or
in humid, dusty or smoky areas as it may cause fire, electric shock or
damage. You should also avoid areas where the sun shines directly on the
monitor.
DO NOT PLACE THE MONITOR IN A HAZARDOUS POSITION
Ensure that you do not place any heavy objects on the monitor, and that all
cables are routed to avoid possible injury.

MAINTAIN GOOD VENTILATION
Ventilation slots are provided to keep the monitor from overheating. Covering
the slots may cause fire. Allow a 10cm space between the rear of the monitor
chassis and rear enclosure wall or panel to allow adequate air circulation.
DISCONNECT THE CABLES WHEN YOU MOVE THE MONITOR
When you move the monitor, turn off the power switch, unplug the monitor
and be sure the signal cable is disconnected. If you do not disconnect them, it
may cause fire or electric shock.
CAUTION!
The Power cable connection is the primary means of detaching the
system from the power supply. The monitor should be installed close to
a power outlet, which is easily accessible.
UNPLUG THE MONITOR
If the monitor is not in use for a long period of time it is recommended that it is
left unplugged to avoid accidents.
HOLD THE PLUG WHEN DISCONNECTING
To disconnect the power cable or signal cable, always pull it by the plug.
Never pull on the cable itself as this may cause fire or electric shock.
DO NOT TOUCH THE PLUG WITH WET HANDS
Pulling or inserting the plug with wet hands may cause electric shock.
ERGONOMIC RECOMMENDATIONS
To eliminate eye fatigue, do not operate the monitor against a bright
background or in a dark room. For optimal viewing comfort, the monitor
should be just below eye level and 40-60 cm (16-24 inches) away from your
eyes. When using the monitor over a prolonged time, a ten-minute break
every hour is recommended as looking at the screen continuously can cause
eyestrain.

5. Trouble shooting
The following information provides guidance notes for trouble shooting
No picture
Check correct signal input source has been selected.
The signal cable should be completely connected to the display
card/computer.
The display card should be completely seated in its slot.
Check the power to the monitor and computer is on.
Check to make sure that a supported mode has been selected on the
display card or system being used.
Check the monitor and your display card with respect to compatibility and
recommended settings.
Check the signal cable connector for bent or pushed-in pins.
Check the signal input.
Image persistence
Image persistence is when a ‘ghost’ of an image remains on the screen
after the monitor has been turned off. Unlike CRT monitors, LCD monitors’
image persistence is not permanent.
To alleviate image persistence, turn the monitor off for as long as an
image was displayed. For example, if an image was on the monitor for one
hour and a residual image remains, the monitor should be turned off for
one hour to erase the image.
Image is unstable or unfocused
Signal cable should be completely attached to the computer.
Use the OSD, image adjustment controls to focus and adjust display by
increasing or decreasing the clock and phase. When the display is
changed, the OSD image adjust settings may need to be re-adjusted.
Check the monitor and your display card with respect to compatibility and
recommended signal timings.
If your text is garbled, change the video mode to non-interlace and use 60
Hz refresh rate.
LED on monitor is not lit (no green or flashing green can be seen)
Power cord should be connected and power button on monitor keypad
should be pressed
LED on monitor is flashing green
Refer to NO PICTURE

Display image is not sized properly
Use the OSD image adjustment controls to increase or decrease the
H.SIZE.
Check to make sure that a supported mode has been selected on the
display card or system being used (please consult display card or system
manual to change graphics mode).
6. General information about LCD monitors
The
following symptoms are normal and do not indicate a problem.
When you first turn on the LCD monitor, the picture may not fit in the display area
because of the type of display source that is used. Select auto adjust to
adjust the picture to its correct position.
You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop
pattern you use.
CIAL N LCD M NIT RS
Due to the nature of the backlight, the screen may flicker during initial use. Turn
off
the power to the monitor and then turn it on again.
If you have to return your unit for service and the original packaging has
been discarded, please contact Displaylite for advice or replacement
packaging.
