Replace the battery immediately the "Lo Bat" illuminates, using a PP3, MN1604 or a direct 9 volt equivalent. The
battery is located under the cover at the rear of the instrument. Care should be taken when replacing the battery,
to ensure the rubber seal is not damaged and the seal is in good condition before replacing the battery cover. A
replacement sealing kit can be purchased - Order Code 830-630. Please note: these thermometers have an inbuilt auto-power off circuit to conserve battery life. The instrument will automatically turn off approximately two/
three minutes after the last button operation.
Readings may be affected if the unit is operated within a radio frequency electromagnetic field strength of approximately
3 volts per metre, but the performance of the instrument will not be permanently affected.
